Supposed to look like this eventually.
Reg. What is more practical? A wine rack that holds 3 bottles of wine or a beer caddy that makes carrying beer heavier?
The guy has crappy fingers. What can you grip with a hand that looks like broken up Vienna sausages?
āMaster woodworkerā who could never actually wood or a tool his entire life.
Careful when you get to the point you donāt make your own cuts. Your just an observer then.
The wine rack. I like it, btw. It is not useful but it is pretty, which in itself is usefulness of sorts.
Being in sin is just being out of alignment. You might not be in sin and have a cut that is out of alignment. Go figure. It was an archery term for missing perfection.
paint is of the devil
paint is for outside
outside bad
paint is of the devil
You might be right. Stain penetrated, paint just coats and comes off with visible scratches.
I will stain the next one. It came out pretty bad so I painted it. Looks fine.
You donāt even believe in the devil, Bill.
with paint and the devil, i am open to new evidence
got evidence?
i didnāt think so
paint is a globalist BCDAKAZAM plot
they got you, too, i see
why is my browser redlining BCDAKAZAM?

Been putting off drilling the braces for my sawhorses because I wanted to use a hand drill not the impact driver drill. I measured them and have them set up so I can just drill them on one saw horse for pilot holes before I actually make some reinforced brackets. I might try looking for the hand drill I just might be imagining I held once or just use the corded electric.
staining wood is of the devil
or iām not very good at it
this bathtub unit goes in a room with heavily stained baseboards
so i stained it lightly with varathane minwax special detergent high octane shit
it looks good
nice grain
but i am afraid i will be using fine sand paper by hand tomorrow
for a while
for reasons i begs you to not enquire of
You are of the devil. I finished the braces on my sawhorses. The long ones went in fine with pilot holes and then a screwdriver. The forearm powered screwdriver made such noise driving the screws in it was louder than the corded impact/drill driver I used for drilling the pilot holes. I tried pilot holes for the first short piece and I got cracks. I put the rest of the screws in with the driver ever so gently and some firmly and got cracks. They started early and were most pronounced when I got the head down of the screw. I should have adjusted a setting but I doubt it would have made a difference. This would compressed and fell apart and split open like sponge cake. It seems just from aligning the drill there already some force causing a depression. Sponge cake not wood.
Despite the cracks I can pick them up by the short braces. I still have 3 of those slats left all painted but I am going to try and do some SS Minnow repairs with superglue. Yes ordinary superglue into the cracks and then the gorilla superglue when it runs out. I have to know what will hold and what emergency repair I can make. Also material and tools are not yet āgoodā for me. I donāt have the ease of workmanship of a like crafting like in equality substance nor do I have an unpaired grip.
I should have wore a mask for the glue. Really it just takes one inhale. Itās a warm very dry day due to the fires. But this will take at least 24 hours to cure. I donāt want to blow dry and seal the outside without letting it mix and bubble out with the air from the middle. Hopefully this clear gorilla super glue doesnt expand as much as the other regular does.
Iāll paint the sides of the braces but that is about it for now. One is actually very stable but the other teeters. Iāll just use a shim,
cardboard, plywood or dirt. Maybe Iāll trim them all at an angle someday so there is more surface contact with the floor than just the edge.
This will hold as is . The glue should petrify the sponge cake . Itās very hard to look at.
dry wall screws are a poor choice for pine
in a load bearing application, one might find they are positively dangerous
