I’m working on a small wine holder for my mom. I stained it the other day and don’t really like it. This was before I stained it. It was at least some practice with the jigsaw.

i built the lamp shade from 1/4 inch dowels and several paper face masks
i am not proud

No, you are just a coward. I’m wondering if I can use a preexisting nail hole for a screw. I’m thinking of using gorilla glue if their is much shaft diameter difference between the nail and screw despite the treads biting through.

I have a miter saw. The laser is awful so I don’t use it. I do wish it was sliding. I just replaced the blade. Much smoother! I wouldn’t buy this particular one again. It’s a delta. I’ll probably stick witj it for a little while since I just put a $40 blade in it and I’d probably only get 80 bucks for it. I could upgrade and put the original crap blade back in to sell.
