Caught up on BBAD using my Chromebook today. Every time I use this thing I’m reminded how good it is. $200, totally functional, and cheap enough that if I break it I don’t care. There are little quibbles, like Google’s international keyboard isn’t as easy to use as Microsoft’s and I need that for the accents in Spanish and French. Overall, though, this thing is brilliant for almost no money.
I got my dad a chromebook for his bday so he could zoom his book club on it, instead of his phone. He doesn’t use it, so he gave it back to me. It’s great. $200.

I love my chromebook. I sit here at the table and it’s on all day. Perfect for Zoom meetings.

Back on the real computer. Uneventful move but even uneventful moves are still pretty difficult. I think we’ll be fully unpacked by tomorrow. Well, perhaps that’s a hope more than a think but whatever, sooner than I expected.
Awesome news, Reg. Maybe after you’ve unpacked and settled in you can add a splash of red to your kitchen to break up all that blinding white for a cheap fix to an irritating, incessant and expensive problem.

As long as I have known you your music has been fairly mild but it’s like you’re changing. You seem angry and you’re sort of shouting through your music. But I don’t blame you and if Reg has to spend a few years looking at that ugly white kitchen, he may want to hang himself.
Nico doesn’t seem angry to me, but I don’t pretend to understand him.
The nice new kitchen guy came by last week and said he’d have a quote to us by email by Monday. It’s now Wednesday night and I have nothing. Home reno guys here have far too much work. It might just take a few years to get rid of that kitchen.
I might solve this by renting out the apartment and moving to Paris. That’s not a plan, just a wild thought. We’ll see.
