EDIT: I don’t mean that it’s good that Trump is quickly moving in this reckless way to enact all kinds of stupid new policies. I mean it’s good that courts and countries are ready to react quickly to his idiocy.
The birthright citizenship will only be enforced on children born here illegally, accidently, and coincidentally as far as citizenship goes) 30 days after law is passed.
Reggie is afraid it will be retro and easily forced on Canada, showing him up as a romantic fraud.
I can offer U.S. citizenship to anyone wanting to marry me and I’m sure that would eventually extend to children if the marriage lasted at least a few years.
It’s not like all this burden isn’t piggybacked on me anyway. What are you really offering Reggie? Whose sacrifice?
And I’m not requiring bragging rights to having somebody sleeping in the same bed nor risking poking and unborn fetus with some prosthetic because there is no feeling.
Anyone could have gotten Canadian citizenship for their child without that. It’s not Reggie’s gift to give. It’s not his gift of better life to give. But he gives it away as it is.
I don’t think it is that easy to travel to a foreign country 38 months pregnant and rent a hotel until you deliver in a hospital you know nothing about in a country that you have no health insurance in.
Whatever, I’m going to the gym. Had enough of covering for pregnancies, labors and birth for children that arent even mine.
Include the whole procreation process in that too.
Most US citizens were born here. Some had a parent that was a citizen. Some have become naturalized. I was born here. My parents were as well, so I would have been a citizen anyways, but anyone born here is a citizen. It’s been that was since 1868.
Dan, 30 days after that order has passed you can’t invite a pregnant married girl from south america or anywhere else outside the United States to sleep in your bed and you give here a ride to the hospital and see her to the airport so the child is born with a u.s. citizenship or dual citizenship. Who knows , you may be revoking that child’s citizenship in the mother’s home country if you beat the deadline.
You sleep on the couch with your cats often don’t you?
You would be surprised where I sleep sometimes.
No problem. I’m sure some random girl from South America will not show up at my door, 37 weeks pregnant and ask to stay for two weeks. That has never happened to me, to this point.
