Trump

lol sure there are always dislikes but there was a point that it didnt cloud your reasoning and before that when you were even younger you were probably even happier because you didnt have this frustration and anger

No you haven‘t provided zero details but only your assumptions.

Not assumptions. Predictions. That’s what this whole little sub-discussion is about. Our predictions. I asked you if you thought the AfD would change any of those things. That’s a prediction. I then offered my predictions. Neither has any real value. Time will now tell.

I had the hope that change was possible. That‘s the only difference. I was naive to believe, that people eventually would come to their senses and realize, that equality and a liberal society (I don’t use this word in an economical meaning) is a good thing. I stand to my decisions back then. I just couldn’t foresee that the SPD alike all other parties in the government, didn‘t take the multiple chances they got regarding economy, society etc. Lol, and even today women have to fight against misogynists who claim every right for themselves but only blame women for low birthrates etc.

No, that‘s not entirely true, Reggie. I base my „prediction“ on the diverse political agendas I read from the AfD. Did you? That‘s why I asked on what you base your assumption (prediction).

nods when you think back even further you were probably even happier and even more naive simply because you didnt know that there are a lot of people that are selfish and uncaring and dont see things the way you do

i think change is always possible but it has to come from inside a person and only they can change themselves and giving in to your anger and frustration and trying to force that change will not end well

I already said I was more naive and that I had more hope regarding that my vision of an equal and liberal Germany is possible to achieve. I didn‘t think that often on politics than I do today. I went on vacation way more and played around. Definitely drank more than these days too, lol (not that I did drink that much anyway, but I was more out). Ask anyone over 50 and they all will say similar things, as reality caught most of us. Even one of the founders of the Green Party, the German political comedian Dieter Nuhr. I recently watched an onterview with him. The Greens went into a direction he never imagined, lol.

am not trying to attack you by calling you naive
naive as in lack of experience, the way a child experiences the world can be a very positive thing
i just want you to think about that childhood time, before politics… remember the joy you experienced then and what you thought was important as a kid, i think this may help you and everyone else for that matter

Nico, read at least what I wrote, if you already want to talk. I don‘t mind that you called me naive. I said myself that I was naive back then. And obviously I kept a bit of it, as I am still talking with you, silly.

lol oh i always read everything, i just prefer to interpret most things my way and talk about what i want

so what was important back then for you as a child?.. being around family? playing sports? horses? laughing at bud spencer and terence hill movies?

Exactly, you interprete instead of trying to understand what was written.

But yes to most of the rest, except the Bud Spencer and Terence Hill movies. I only liked a few of them. I think maybe the Winnetou movies with their hope for equality of all people and that peace in a non-homogeneous society is possible, ruined me. The good barely win in reality.

if i think i dont understand what was written i will always do some research on the internet or ask or say something that will lead to me understanding (or at least think i do)

people have different opinions on many things even on who or even what is winning

perception can create your reality, so you can always win no matter what or you could not care about winning/losing or even better not seeing everything as a competition

Interesting debate. Don’t let my freak flag distract.

its indeed freaky, do you think everyone that owns another flag should be penalised, locked up or deported?

oh that reminds me, what did you think of that little talk that bishop gave to trump? i thought it was brilliant

Ok, politics rarely is a source for laughter, but this German reporter, who first translated factually and suddenly asked his colleagues in a moment he thought his mic is off, very emotionally, even in a despaired voice, how long they want to send that shit, made my day, lol.

nice
oh there will be plenty more to laugh at the next 4 years (if trump lasts that long)

No, that’s silly. They should be penalized, locked up and deported if they commit a crime though. I know you don’t care about that part though.

What was brilliant about it? It sounded like an inappropriate political lecture during a spiritual prayer service.

why would i not care about that? i think all criminals should get fined or locked up

her gentle and respectful approach, acknowledging that we are all humans and her asking for mercy for scared children sounded pretty good to me and quite similar to the message your jesus supposedly was spreading?

guess it was a bit different to all the times that several religious “leaders” were sucking up to, touching trump and praying, pretending that he is your jesus?

Be kind to others is now an inappropriate political lecture? Yes, I suppose in Trump’s America that may be true. Thankfully it’s not true most anywhere else.
