The POM

This is exactly right. Evaluate the pros and cons and pick one. Or try them all over the years. Experience everything if you can.

I’m sorry. I clearly misled you. I simply wanted to know what all the fuss is about the city that you find so appealing. I guess that’s what I get for asking.

Chernobyl this week. It wasn’t pretty before the Russians invaded. It wasn’t pretty before the meltdown at the nuclear plant. It’s likely even less pretty now. Some people still live call it home, though, and their lives are less good today than they were a few days ago.

Bathomet? You can’t do any better than Bathomet signs? No wonder you think there is about to be a nuclear war.

Defend your position.

As above, so below vs in earth as it is in Heaven.

As above, so below…what is that except manifestation what a man thinks or believes? Is that calling for man’s thoughts of Heaven to be manifest on Earth? If so, that explains the destructive direction the world is going in. How disappointing that is for those who put their faith in the smallness of a human mind, when we can obtain more than our minds can fathom by the will of God.
It’s a good week to be somewhere else. I’ll be eagerly watching and waiting for the next POM drop.

i thought gracie was gonna pay taxes or something
wish kitty would
doesn’t do any good to click on things if you can’t read

You think I don’t pay my taxes?

I just saw this. Are you boycotting because of the POM? Seriously? I just picked it because someone posted it on PXHere about how messed up Ukraine was. Anyway, this POM means less to me than it does to you and I don’t mind changing it if it offends you.

There we go. Changed to an innocuous picture of Lviv.

Looks like a lovely town

It does, although I doubt the Russian invasion will do much for its charm.

Have you traveled to Europe at all, Reg?

Yes, quite a bit, but never as far east as Ukraine, unless you count stopovers where I didn’t get to see anything. I always wanted to see Russia but that’s going to be more difficult now. China, too. Our worlds are becoming smaller quite quickly.

Indeed. I have been doing to genealogy research and am attempting to learn how in google maps you can look up locations and ‘save’ them for future visitation.

I think I"ll need three months at least.

First covid closed down travel. We couldn’t fly anywhere. I was personally stuck in Medellín for almost all of 2020. Now that covid is subsiding, suddenly and almost magically, something else pops up stopping us from travelling, perhaps indefinitely, to half the world. Thankfully the half I’m interested in is still quite open to me.

You are very fortunate to be able to travel. I am envious.

You’ve been to Japan. That’s a win. And your life will open up when the kids are older.

Yeah. I figure if I can save up $1000 a year until the youngest is 18 and graduated, that should give me a good footing to travel. Weather hubby wants to go or not.
