Don’t answer that Gundi
I asked someone about their soul once and they denied having one. I feel guilty about that because I feel like I led him into a word trap. I just didn’t want to see that happen again.
Soul is just a word we use to describe all the various intangibles that comprise a person while not being perceived by our five senses.
I wonder why a non-believer would think they had a soul, where they got that information from, and why would they be concerned about it’s destiny. Reason why, is the Bible is clear all know and are exposed to the truth, will be judged their response to it, and none will have an excuse. Sometimes presenting the Gospel involves placing these truths at their feet, it is no trap but I rather think of it as planting a seed. God will be the judge of the reason whether it grew or not. I leave it up to Him to give the increase…
Rom 1:16-22 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (17) For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (18) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; (19) Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. (20) For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (21) Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. (22) Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Pearls/swine. Not unless they ask. And they don’t ask, ever. But feel free to come back and share God’s Word any time.
The concept of “soul” has been around much longer than Christian mythology has been.
This isn’t true. I asked God to come into my life many times. Nothing happened, of course. Nothing happens to anyone when they do that as far as I can see, but some are determined enough to pretend something did.
I know, I know, I’m supposed to have faith before I ask him, as absurd as that notion is. I’ve only been to the horse races once in my life and I had faith in all my bets before they ran. I lost $200. lol.
As intellectually stimulating as that was, even a blind man can see that your only failure was that you put your faith in the wrong horse. There’s no need to condemn faith just because you aren’t capable of recognizing the difference between a winning horse and a losing horse.
That was exactly my point Michele. Nobody knows which horse will win this race. Nobody knows if there even is a race going on. Nobody knows the prize for winning or the penalty for losing.
You’ve chosen your horse. I decline to bet.
Unfortunately, you can’t decline to bet because you did bet and lost, $200.00 on the wrong horse.
And we do know there is a race taking place. We even know which horse wins. The one you didn’t choose.
Your God, if he exists and if he is all powerful, can sentence me to eternal suffering for failing to bet. He apparently can’t or won’t force me to bet, however. He also can’t or won’t stop me from believing that any God who would do so is incredibly evil.
There is no condemnation in Christ, Dummy. You condemn yourself and I don’t blame you. If I hated God the way you do, I would condemn myself to eternal Hell also.
Reg. Did you ask Jesus which horse to pick?
Damn! That was why I lost!
You lost because you used bad judgement. Don’t blame that on our Lord.
He probably couldn’t tell which horse was the Christian horse. I know I wouldn’t have been able to tell.
That’s because he keeps looking with his deceptive eyeballs.
I take it you aren’t going to see, “once upon a time in Hollywood?”
Probably a top 5 director for the last 25 years. My favorite scene with him lol.
“The Hunt” is billed as a satire that follows wealthy thrill-seekers taking a private jet to a five-star resort where they embark on a “deeply rewarding” expedition that involves hunting down and killing designated humans.
Global elites hunting “deplorables.”
