Life is not good

Too vague.

I assume you had a milder flu-like case of the same virus. It is disappointing that being vaccinated does not mean you will no longer get the disease you were vaccinated against as it was when people were vaccinated against polio, diphtheria and measles or that the vaccine has the potential to create health problems for which we may need antibiotics or some other semi-solid, oil-based pharmaceutical treatment.

Does the vaccine cause a bacterial infection?

Never assume.

It was not milder at all. It was not flu like at all.

Being vaccinated helps your body identify and fight, not the complete prevention of.

My sons have been vaccinated againsted chicken pox. Guess what. My eldest got it anyway. My youngest is immune to chicken pox.

I refuse the flu vaccine mostly because I still get it. When I gripe and complain about that, the respomce is, well you havr a different variant than what was in the vaccine.

Impossible. A person can’t read any article today and expect to get the whole story, as your own posts indicate.

Perhaps I misunderstood what I was reading.

I’m just confused by it all now since sinus is a flu-like symptom.

lol, you still got covid too.

Have you removed ultra processed foods from your diet Michele?

I have removed all food from my diet for the last day. Fasting. I hate it. Some people say it gets easier in time. I am not yet at ā€œeasierā€. I feel like I’m going to die and that would be quite welcome right now anyway given the way I feel. I don’t care, I am just not going to become fat.

Did you try some ginger tea?

No, but I would like to eliminate all unhealthy food from my diet. I’ve had no less than 3 ultra-processed meals in the last 2 weeks, including one greasy cheeseburger and a slice of pepperoni pizza, also greasy. I don’t feel guilty about it though. I believe a person has to allow themselves to eat unhealthy occasionally so we don’t give up, although, at this point in my life, I believe I could live without the garbage. Garbage in, garbage out isn’t really a true statement since some of that stuff stays with you, forever and is known to cause cancer. I have a new app installed on my phone that allows me to scan a product, which tells me what chemicals are in the product and what those chemicals do to the body. A great deal of garbage has been eliminated from my diet and I have lost 13 pounds, but it’s been incredibly slow. I don’t love everything I eat and I often get tired of eating chicken and have to find different ways of putting it together with other foods but I do get satisfied, I love breakfast (my favorite meal) and I don’t starve.

That is heartbreaking. There is no reason you have to starve. The only thing you are going to do by starving is eat something unhealthy when you end your fast because of your hunger and lack of control. Besides, fasting never, never, never serves you unless it is a fast unto the Lord, which is a another subject probably best reserved for different day and thread.

No. Perhaps I should.

It’s the only thing that works for me. Results are everything and I get no results unless I feel hunger.

Ate a bagel for lunch. First food for awhile.

Will continue to starve myself for a few more days. This doesn’t mean zero food, just a totally unsustainable diet of about 400 calories a day. It doesn’t have to be sustainable. In fact, any sustainable diet is not a weight loss diet. Even if your diet only loses 1 kg per month, in less than a decade you would weigh nothing, which is not sustainable. This diet only needs to not kill me within the next week, which shouldn’t be an issue. I should hit 79 kg quickly.

I realize that not everyone is the same and some people think we should accept fat. Great, accept it. I accept it in others. I don’t accept it from myself. I will take drastic measures including starvation to avoid it. My body my choice.

So no biking?

I’m starting every morning with 10k on the bicycle. Interestingly, the lack of food is fine in the morning and only hits me in the afternoon. I just ate dinner. Green peppers and mushrooms with some mozza melted on top. Perhaps 200 calories. The bagel was probably 200 too so that’s my 400 for today.

Reg, I don’t feel hunger and I see results.

Bullcoughshit

At the end of which you will be so hungry that you will eat the first thing in sight and gain the weight back. It’s not permanent.

This seems to be where you are blinded. It is not necessary to starve.

You are right. It has to be a lifestyle change. It has to be the way you live and not the length of time you can go without food if you want it to be forever. What I’m doing is forever and Reg, I had a sliver of white cake with whipped icing, yesterday. It was delicious. I don’t crave sugar. I can be tempted by it but I never overindulge because I know what it would do if I did.

Nonsense. Eating healthy allows you to lose until your body has no more fat to lose and then everything will stabilize.

Something to help you resist beef after you come down off your fast.

At first glance, I thought this person had a raw hamburger patty in their mouth.

They are deliberately micro-dosing poison to us with the expectation that we are so stupid we will accept it, buy it and consume it. To me, these are cruel people with an agenda. I don’t trust them and I don’t believe their candy-coated words or their products. You shouldn’t either.

Rude. I accept it in others. I just think they don’t look nice.

Are you at your optimal weight, Michele? Congratulations, if so.

This is only true if you are willing to stabilize at slightly overweight. To get down to a totally correct weight, you have to briefly overcompensate which is what I’m doing.

I have lived the large majority of my life within 10 kilos of optimal. I blimped up when I owned the data center but I lost it all after I sold it. This recent blip where I’m 12 kg over is not normal for me and I doubt very much that I will ā€œeat the first thing in sight and gain the weight backā€. Time will tell.

Beef does not tempt me. I also eat nothing from boxes or cans.

I have no control over when it will stabilize.

How are you overcompensating?

How did you do that? Starve yourself?

lol sure it’s not. You look nice though.

I’ve got 20 $ that says you will gain it back because you have no control over your mouth. Pun intended. How much have you lost? Weigh yourself and take a picture on the scales.

By eating about 400 calories per day.

Yes, exactly. By starving. That is the only way I have ever lost weight in my life, and it works remarkably well. All the other methods have had no success for me.

I would take that bet, but let’s first let me lose the weight and then let’s set a timeline on how long I have to maintain it.

Sure, I’ll get right on that, right after you post yours. I notice you didn’t respond to whether you were at optimal weight.

If it works so remarkedly well, why do you keep regaining the unwanted weight?

At 400 calories a day, you should have already lost weight.

I noticed you didn’t respond when asked how much weight you have lost.
I’ll be at optimal when I go three months without any change in weight.
