Life is good

Yup. And I don’t even have a bad conscience.

We got a very nice 4-legged 14 year old neighbour. The terrace green fence allows him to visit us. Jamie likes him.

I love to float and tread slowly water in the hot water pool under the free sky. Summing songs in my mind.

My friend overate yesterday, lol.

lucky you!

A white West Highland Terrier. I made a video but can‘t upload it on bbad. Wrong format.

I wished they would offer access to the hot water pools also throughout the night. That would be really nice under the stars.

Today it was just beautiful. Drizzling rain. Steam went from the hot water pool up into the air. As if it was mist. Barely anyone was outside, despite this is the best weather you could wish for. You feel the soft rain drops on your shoulders and back, looking into the lush green surrounding the pool or watch up the green hills of the Bavarian Forest. And if your skin is getting a bit too cold, you go beneath the water to get instantly warm again. Oh God, don‘t let the sun shine tomorrow but rain.

It’s funny. This hotel is really nice. But every morning I miss a very tiny little thing: a wash cloth for my face. Why did this very handy and useful hygienic tool die out? On my next stay I am gonna take a few from home with me.

Tomorrow I am heading home. These are pictures from my friends room at the top of the new part of the hotel which is also more expensive than mine. It offers a great view down to the modern Spa landscape with a 35°C Sole outdoor pool, hot water outdoor pool, natural pool on the left, an indoor pool and several Saunas. A wellness dream. But I will be back on my birthday in January 2025. Hopefully with lots of snow.

That’s a really pretty place, Gunda. Nice views. Are you getting use of the pools?

I guess I didn’t understand your question. But if you seriously asked if I used those pools - then yes, of course. This is the Spa area. That’s why I booked.

No photos by the pool?

It’s forbidden to make pictures or video in the whole Spa area. Cameras aren’t allowed there. Quite reasonable actually.

Dumb rule!

As always in Homeoffice, the male cat Ganymedes is sleeping, while the female cat Kimba often finds her way over the couch onto the small table beside my desk and tries to get caressed. She is way more active in general than Gany. Probably that‘s a biological gender difference in cats, as the females need to hunt way more to feed their babies. She often leans her head toward my left shoulder, just hanging there. That‘s so sweet.

When she‘s meowing and looking at me, I wonder if also cats are able to give names to other creatures, like elephants do. Maybe even to things. And then I wonder if that‘s the case, I would love to know the names my pets have for me, lol. I hope only nice ones, lol.

Stumbled over this video. German bread is really the only thing (well, aside from being able to talk in German/one’s Germans dialect again from time time), most Germans will miss eventually, when longer abroad. For me it‘s indeed the Bauernbrot and a few types of rolls. During the week, I am having a quick oat meal with milk. But on the weekend, bread is essential for breakfast.

ah yes, there is something magical about fresh made bread and so much variety!
