Life is good

It‘s past 7 am and still dark outside. I get up easier at 6 am already in summer, when it‘s bright.

Was invited by a dear friend for dinner last night. Her Turkish partner grilled salmon and pork. Delicious! I know both for over a decade by now. He is Muslim but as religious as my folks at home. Very easy going and open minded. He eats pork and drinks all kind of alcohol, like the rest of us. He is fully integrated. We were 5 people and a 1,5 year old boy (belonged to the other couple). Was a very „alive“ evening to say the least, lol. To the shouting of that small human, Ufuk, as a really ultra Bayern Munich fan, insisted to watch them playing live on sky tv and yet missed all 3 goals when getting stuff from the grill or kitchen, to which his partner send him. So there also was some little quarrel between those two going on. Both cats of her in terror already by that little boy. Well, I had fun, lol.

Unfortunately, Heinz Erhardt is right. Winter is close, but the forest looked never as beautiful as these days. Only the sun is missing.

Nevertheless, life is good and I have a long weekend ahead of me.

It’s a sunny sundayyyy! So we had a nice long walk and found this nice “Hundetankstelle” run by a nice older couple.

Nice…and red look nice on a black dog. Is that Jamie?

a dog tank station? lol thats great, what were they selling?
lol am asking this because i never see those anywhere outside supermarkets or other bigger shops

Yes.

Yup, a dog tank station. But they don‘t sell anything. They „just“ put those two bowls right outside their garden where a sidewalk leads by. Currently they are empty, but in summer they are always full for the thirsty dogs. This house is not far from me.

Passed…passed by*

Dogs don’t get thirsty in the fall?

thats wonderful, you should surprise them and bring them some flowers

Not as fast as on hot summer days, Michele.

If you say so.

Every time I go to the kitchen for coffee I look outside the window in the hope to catch one of those rare creatures in my garden like that one robin or that one wren. Just 1 minute ago both even visited together and were close to each other. I don‘t know why there is always just one of each species unlike the many sparrows who always come in flocks. I love those two birds visit my tiny garden. On sunday I heard the robin wonderfully sing even. I hope to hear that wren once too.

nice, except for the hoping part… thats a waste of time
here you go:

Hoping is good. Well, mostly, not always. But thanks, was nice to hear their typical melody to recognize it if „my“ wren eventually does me that favour.
