Asparagus, okra, brussel sprouts I have not had the aforementioned issue. Celery and lettuce, yes.

I love brussel sprouts but those look awful. They’re great with cheese but obviously that’s high cal.

Whatever.

Isa hates brussel sprouts. lol. Oh well, more for me. Well, more for me when we get back to Canada. I can’t get them here at all.

I could not stand them at first either the same goes with asparagus and okra. I just made a wrap with some small bits of meat, cooked zucchini and light sour cream. I ate some some chilis with it and several raw shishito peppers. Those are great blistered too. Try your veggies blistered.

edited to add not"

I’ve become a very unimaginative cook. I just toss veggies into a pot with a tablespoon of olive oil and let them cook at medium-high for a few minutes. I’ve started adding a touch of salt. I really prefer that dish to any other food on Earth. Jello for dessert. Coconut granola at night. I don’t need much variety.

I just had a large serving of pistachio ice cream. The pistachio will go well to balance the brussel sprouts, asparagus, okra, thai green chiles, and shishito peppers I have been with amounts of salt, pepper, and various spices as well as lemon and vinegar.

The next time I “HULK” out, it hopefully won’t be so embarrassing.

I love ice cream but it’s very bad for you, and destroys any weight loss effort you’ve made.

Whatever.

My wife hates brussel sprouts too. Those look a little too crispy. Even for me.

Those might help you eat grains or starches.

Those Brussels sprouts look perfect, Mark. Anyone that knows how to cook their food right knows that Brussels sprouts have no real taste unless you burn them. That’s probably why Reg and Dans wives hate sprouts. Many people (mostly men) don’t really know the secret to natural flavoring. That’s why they have to add salt to make their food edible.

This okra came out terrible. I could not get the flour to stay on. I should have used a large deep pot of oil. None of the flour and egg stayed on. I should have used buttermilk like I saw in some recipes, which looks like it might be glue.
It came out ok though and that oil turning green and bubbling was healthier than you might think for me.

This came out better with no flour. I just cut them in half for better cooking and blistering. Wasn’t put off by okra slime.
Made for a good cheeseburger.

Actually made this chicken and potatoes more palatable. Okra is getting to be a green go to for me.

Chicken breast can get dry. I want to make stuffed breasts sometime. I just used up an old jar of orange marmalade on these. I might try some herbs and cheese next time.

Gross, Mark. Why would you fry these things? Cooking oil should be banned.

This was my meal last night. Sometimes you just have to trust your eye. I think I finally beat this green eye discharge by looking for sicklier shades of green. When you start developing a better instinct for nutrition your eye will sometimes easily pick things out. If it tells you to just build on something, go for it.
This meal was to build visual contrast and sophisticate my vision in the green spectrum. Drab and pastels are just as essential.

That looks good, Mark, aside from the potato chips.
