I really love football, performed by children. No money involved, just for the joy if moving and playing with friends. Itâs innocent and it reminds me on my own childhood.

April is the best sports month in New England. Celtics and Bruins are both in the playoffs, baseball has started and the Boston Marathon is today.
The ball strike challenge seems to have helped baseball. People seem to think it is a slow game, but it has less downtime than American football and is at least 30 minutes shorter in most games.
People seem to like the drama of the ball strike challenge. Baseball might overtake basketball as the 2nd most popular sport in 
. You get rewarded for tanking in basketball with a high draft pick. 10 teams were trying to.lose on purpose over the last month, which makes for an awful sport. Baseball teams donât really tank on purpose.

A Kenyan won the menâs race with a time of 2 hrs, 1 minute, 52 seconds. He didnât even look tired. Perfect running conditions. April is weird in Boston. It will be about -4C tonight. My brother in law ran it in 2012. It was 37C/98F. It took him 2 more hours than normal. He can no longer run. It permanently damaged him.

Thatâs the thing that gets me about the fast Africans. They run 40km faster than I can ride a bicycle and look like they just walked around the block.
It looked like he was in mile 2. His knees were up high. He didnât even need a towel. He hugged his coach and gave interviews. He also won last year. Last year he fell and still won and did look tired last year. He beat his time by 3 minutes. Definitely a tough guy and very matter of fact in his answer. He was expecting to beat the course record, but is not focused on breaking 2 hours yet.

There are about 30000 runners. In order to run, you need be pretty fast. A male under the age of 35, needs to run a marathon distance in under 2 hours and 55 minutes. The other option and most common way to run or walk is to fundraise, but you have to raise $10000 for a cause.
My brother in law asked if I wanted red sox tickets for todayâs game. The red sox game ends around 2 pm today and then you can see runners near the end. My wife has a colonoscopy, so Iâm waiting. I donât think I would have gone as it is almost impossible to get in and out of the city today.
The marathon starts 26.2 miles away in a town that feels like it is 26 miles away. There is nothing special about Hopkinton. I donât think Iâve ever gotten out of the car and probably have driven through it 3 times in my life.

Teams with worse records have a better chance of getting an earlier pick. I think all major sports do this, but top picks are a bigger deal in basketball compared to baseball. Google Victor Wembanyama. One player can completely change your team in basketball. That doesnât happen in baseball.

Vancouver Sun Run went well. I walked the route once. NHL playoffs have started and Montreal beat Tampa in their first game of the best of 7. Twice today I saw here in Duncan, BC vehicles with Montreal Canadians flags and in both cases the occupants pointed at the flags. One vehicle Indo the other White on York St. Go Blue Jays though they are last .409 avg in the AE East.
