Disappointing way to end the game. The batter has 0.3 seconds to decide to swing. That’s batters that have good bat speed. I’d probably have to start swinging before the ball is released. This is an offspeed pitch, but the USA closer can throw it 104 mph. He has thrown 272 consecutive pitches without giving up a hit. This game was proof that no lineup can hit dominant pitching and dominant pitching beats dominant hitting.
