They were singing the Russian National Anthem, Michele. It is prettier than either of our nation’s anthems, which isn’t saying much in the case of the US. It is also vastly better than the Dutch anthem. The German anthem would give them a run for their money. And the EU anthem is the most impossibly beautiful piece of music ever composed.

This doesn’t qualify as “favorite” but I honestly don’t remember ever hearing it, which is ridiculous given how powerful China is these days. Now that I’ve heard it, I dislike it. Entirely uninspiring anthem.
As if to outdo the Chinese, this absolutely horrible song is the anthem of Egypt.
