So, my boss agreed to my planned 4 week vacation to North-Western France at the end of September 2025. Now this only could be stopped, if the planned project of 10 month length gets delayed significantly. Tonight, I will ask a friend to join me, as I know he is still single and should have time if he wants to do this journey with me. He was there already many years ago, though. But heās the only man I know good enough to trust and who is single. My best female friend canāt leave her handicapped son and cats for such a long time and I donāt want to do this under 4 weeks. I want a relaxing time. I prefer not to travel alone anymore. But if he bails, I Iāll do this trip alone as well. Itās nicer to share beautiful impressions with someone, though. This I learned about me in New Zealand. But worse than traveling alone is to have someone at your side with whom you donāt click.
Not for the whole 4 weeks, but that old friend of mine since my first professional education, will join me probably for 2 weeks and take a flight. Now I think if itās better to drive with a normal car up there and rent holiday apartments beside the sea in both Normandie and Bretagne, as a base to explore the coast.
And after that, no more sadness will accompany this song when it comes on the radio. Life is good! 
And now I pack for tomorrow.
I actually wanted to post a different song, but this title made me curious and I didnāt know that band was touching even such a topic. I read a bit up, as the lyrics are a bit cryptic. Seems this is about one of the band members mother who had an abusive husband. On a side note, this piano playing woman with a very nice voice was discovered by them in a hotel bar.
Physical abuse sadly happens often. But way worse in itās effect has non-physical violence. And this is still happening on a wide scale. And religion of all sorts do play a role here, as they justify many of it and plant this abusive seed in both gender. I despise religions mainly because of that. My first own experience of discrimination happened by my religious teacher at school. And from that on, I was very sensitive about this issue.
I just donāt understand why they emphasize white male supremacy here. This happens all around the world, regardless which race or culture. And frankly, this false focus on whites only once again makes me even angry.
This is such a musical gem. It captivates me every time and I have to stop whatever I am doing to not miss any nuance of it.

Thatās surprising. In America, anything over a week is considered sick leave, anything over that and you pay for it yourself or die and they call it the American dream.
