It’s all for show imo. Some just don’t get it. Biden’s bill to continue funding the war in Ukraine and a new Israeli war with Hamas will never pass as long as there is no speaker. Yay! I support this tactic since the dollar is shrinking and it’s getting harder to buy groceries. It also demonstrates how difficult it is to select a speaker that measures up to Trump’s standards.
Arlington Virginia is the fittest city in the . Followed by DC. the middle of the country is the most dangerous. NYC is the 5th safest city in the . St Louis, Memphis and Detroit are all awful.
I’m stunned about Arlington and DC. Erika was in both places a few years ago for a conference and said they were very ghetto outside the tourist areas. I have never been to Arlington. I never liked DC.
I’ve been to DC twice. Both times homeless folks came up to me. I did give some cash which was not a smart move. I was not mugged, but I could have been.
I did not like DC, but I probably averaged walking 5 miles a day and the traffic was horrible, so I could see why it was a fit city. Seattle came in 3rd.
Part of this is me thinking “surely the fittest city must be a nice place, with all those attractive young people running and riding their bicycles”. If Seattle is on that list, “fit” and “nice” are clearly unrelated. Seattle has become a total excrement hole, with homelessness and drug use rampant. Beautiful areas like Pike Place Market have become no-go zones. I don’t know how those people are staying fit without going outside, and to be honest, I don’t care. It’s not my thing.
That’s too bad. Going outside is a great way to stay fit. You should try to go outside at least once a day, Reg. If nothing else, just to say you did something besides sit on the couch all day.
After reading your exchange with Dan I became a little curious about the differences between Seattle and Vancouver and let me tell you, there’s not that much difference, although I’m certain you would disagree but no matter. The differences are minor with the only real difference being the amount of rain Seattle experiences. https://thatadventurer.co.uk/pros-and-cons-of-seattle-vs-vancouver-bc/
Michele, I didn’t mean that as you surely know. I am outside constantly and I don’t think I’ve sat on my sofa more than once per month in the last ten years. I meant I wouldn’t want to go outside in Seattle or Portland as they have become excrement holes.
You’re right, I disagree. I disagree from the perspective of living in one and having visited the other at least a hundred times, which is a better base to form an opinion on than having read one article from some Brit on a site I’ve never heard of. Vancouver is clean, safe, rich and beautiful. Seattle has become an excrement hole.
Perhaps they have cleaned that up but you bring an excellent point to my attention. Vancouver doesn’t have a space needle, although they do have the less impressive Lookout.
There ya go. You just needed to talk it out.
You seem puffy this morning. From what I’ve read, Seattle is thriving and accommodating with a friendly atmosphere. Too bad Vancouver can’t say the same because you make them sound like a excrement hole where nobody would ever want to visit. What I mean is that anyone can see a clean and beautiful city in pictures. But what would draw any person to a place where the people are unpleasant to be around?
Vancouver is beautiful in pictures and in reality, from a car or on foot or on bicycles. We have one poor area called the Downtown East Side which is full of drug addicts but no guns, so it’s perfectly safe to walk there 24/7/365. It’s just ugly, not dangerous.
Our people are educated, polite, well-travelled, interesting and even somewhat friendly, although not as friendly as Americans. I don’t consider it unfriendly to say Seattle has become an excrement hole. Most people in Seattle agree with that.
Ahh, yes Dahling, your city is a pristine and expensive excrement hole. All who go there are transformed into smart ass pricks.
That clip was an hour long. I’ll watch later. Also, I noticed that clip was 4 years old but I can easily assume it’s worse now than it was then. I can also easily blame Democrats for using funds allotted to them to destroy the city. You can’t really expect anything better than that though. We have drugs pouring over our border with no leadership in place to stop it. The same leadership is allowing Hamas criminals to cross the border with plans to attack us, according to FBI Director Christopher Wray. And if that’s not enough for you, the same incompetent leadership is literally supporting these criminals with phones, Pakistani own hotel rooms, free health care and cash. What you are showing everyone is happening over bad U.S policies set in place by elite globalists with an agenda. So while you can smugly point out all that is wrong with America, keep in mind, you support the same shitty government that is creating these hellholes all over America.
