Another software update, and again this new software takes about a half hour of downtime with each update.
I’ll do it tonight sometime so if you come here and it’s down, you’ll know why.

Another computer downtime in the lab tomorrow. Every 3 months now.
It’s frustrating. I have always coded my applications to update almost instantly. The technology they’ve chosen for this software (Discourse) is stupid, but the old tech (phpBB) had fallen out of development and had security risks so I felt I had to move to it.
All done. I didn’t time it but it was down for about 20 min.
That’s about what our downtime is too.
Doing another update. I usually do them in the middle of the night but I’m heading to Medellin soon so I want to get this out of the way.

The data center I’m using to host BBAD is doing a deal where we can double our disk space for no extra money so I’m going to do that. There’ll be some brief downtime over the coming evening.
I’ll go prepare a bun with a thin layer of low fat cheese.
