Doing any kind of business on the phone these days is a head banger. Just getting someone on the phone who can actually make something happen is a triumph.
I booked two more tickets. I decided to go with Air Canada. I’m calling IMMEDIATELY to add the pet because I can’t do that online. Been on hold for an hour and a half so far. Travelocity says if I cancel within 24 hours I should get a full refund minus $200 so the risk is lower this way.
Got the pet approved from Bogota-Toronto and Toronto-Vancouver. Now I just need Medellin-Bogota covered and I’m good. Another two hours on hold ahead.

I’m stuck. Have some chores to do. Including taxes. I think it is best to do them separate since I paid 25000 in interest and taxes and the standard deduction for a married couple is an insane 24000. I guess they want you to pay at least 30000 in interest and taxes. So I think the standard on single is 12000 so I should be able to itemize well.

I called twice and let it ring at least 12 times each call. I checked my settings and unblocked my caller id for the second call.

Yes. It took eons on hold but we’re flying to Bogotá now, instead of Panamá or Miami, then Toronto, then Vancouver. It will be a very long day but the cat is confirmed on all legs. Now we wait to see if Canada follows India and cancels all tourist visas. If they do, we’re scrambling.

I had to hire a young Colombian to fly the cat to Bogotá due to the various restrictions on our tickets. He hasn’t traveled much and is excited for the gig. This is easily the most complicated trip I’ve ever done and I’ve flown Colombia-Vancouver more times than I can remember.
They have another update. I skipped the last one so I better do this one (which will also catch up on the last one I skipped). I plan to do it late tonight sometime but we’ll see how much energy I have.
