The worst thing is that, whoever the new president is, even if they’re the most intelligent, progressive, worldly, educated person ever elected, to a great extent it won’t matter. It will be a long, long time before the world trusts the US again. If ever. It’s not my country and for me this is largely intellectual, but I totally understand those Americans who burn with hatred for the obese orange buffoon who perhaps irreparably damaged their nation.
I’m glad you do because I’m one of those Americans. It will take a long time just to put back the institutions he has dismantled.

It appears Trump is creating a “global slowdown.” It amazing to me that an idiot like Trump could be allowed to single-handedly control the global economy with so many highly educated, capable idiots in the world. I wish I could go back and vote for Clinton. She was so much more qualified. Pity, really. Perhaps the next best thing is on the horizon.
That I know of, there are only two states that fully carry the Muslim faith, so far. Omar has promised to be Trumps “nightmare.” If she would run for President, she could become a global “nightmare.”

I think it’s odd and surprising. It reminds me of when the Mueller Report came out and liberals took a step to the right, away from CNN. I don’t think conservatives are going to move away from Trump on the Omar issue. But if Trump we’re guilty of some campaign finance laws, conservatives might take a step to the left, away from Trump.
In a sense, the nation would come closer to uniting. The only thing lacking is a leader both sides would overwhelming agree is the best thing for the country. It would have to be someone really smart running as a Democrat but loved by Republicans who would follow him. I’m not talking about JFK. But I am talking about someone like him. And it is disturbing what I think it is.
