You really should read the news a bit more carefully. That was at the Coutts border crossing, after the RCMP (our national police) stormed the protesters, arrested many, and forced the rest out. It was as the final protesters were leaving.
Commercial and personal vehicles left the area one day after RCMP arrested 13 people and seized a cache of firearms and ammunition.
Mounties said an early morning raid on Monday uncovered 13 long guns, handguns, a machete, a large quantity of ammunition and body armour. Two additional weapons were seized later that day.

Ben, our banks are among the strongest in the world. During the 2008 freefall which saw 465 banks fail in the US, Canada had exactly zero bank failures. We don’t let our banks take stupid risks. Unlike Americans who worship at the altar of freedom, we in Canada don’t care at all about their freedom to lose our money.
