I love it. I had a 3 axis computer controlled router which is basically the same machine except this one lays concrete. My machine used BASIC to program.
It will good for mass production. The program might need to be tweaked according to environmental conditions. The machine itself must weigh a ton to support that cement hose. I assume it uses stepper motors and they must be monsters. Large tracts of houses would be the most efficient. I imagine designs will continue to evolve. I wish them good luck.
In a perfect world they would have resolved pouring cement at 90 degree angles before they attempted to actually build something. It was probably invented by a man who failed to think past the cement.
I would never delay production of this innovative idea because of the trivial issue of imperfect right angle corners. This thing could drastically reduce housing costs. I doubt any buyers will care much that their corners are rounded. I even kinda like it. Itāll make furniture interesting.
Good point. Unfortunately, imperfect angles could result in leaks which would get in the wood and cause black mold to grow undetected for weeks, months or even years. Then you would want to sue the maker for faulty equipment knowing in advance it was flawed. Perhaps a person could purchase one through Amazon eventually so when it produces a flawed product, a person can just send it back with a full refund.
What a bizarre conclusion. It looks like it has a concrete slab roof and given the ventilation at the top of the walls, it looks like itās in a hot area. I think they even mentioned Mexico in the video. Thereās likely very little rain there. Come back in 50 years or 100 and Iāll bet itās still not leaking.
I like the idea of it. Especially if it reduces costs like Reg said.
Mexico is pretty diverse. Iām guessing this is flat and dry. Impressive.
When I lived in lowell there was a yurt down the street and it looked like it was surviving hard weather quite well. It looked like something out of hansel and gretel. I had a friend whoās family lived in a yurt style house. Kind of odd house. It had zero hallways. There was privacy as there were bedroom off the main living area in a hexagon shaped style. I felt like I was in a gingerbread house. I wonder if my friend thought it was weird. It was probably tough to sell.
nice share!
65k canadian dollars and that includes buying the land! very interesting 3 year project
simple but still beautiful and comfortable house and the surroundings look amazing! most important: he has internet access! lol
guess it would be quite lonely but i could see myself living like that, basically my only worry would be if you or your family get sick⦠no quick way from or to that area
hmm ok why are the solar panels on the ground when you have the roof of your house in that way? that annoys me lol
ah that site has more clips with similar different living⦠an island or a boat might be a much better option;)
interesting, iam not much of a social party animal anymore but only spending time with 1 person for months would drive me (and most of all the other person!) crazy lol
