Tiny houses

I love it. I had a 3 axis computer controlled router which is basically the same machine except this one lays concrete. My machine used BASIC to program.

It will good for mass production. The program might need to be tweaked according to environmental conditions. The machine itself must weigh a ton to support that cement hose. I assume it uses stepper motors and they must be monsters. Large tracts of houses would be the most efficient. I imagine designs will continue to evolve. I wish them good luck.

I love this. I mean, I don’t even like houses but this is a brilliant way to go. I note the rounded corners.

I bet the machine and the concrete don’t get along well with 90 degree angles(concrete piles up?)

That’s what I was thinking but it looks like they achieved it (or damn close to 90 degrees) in the interior walls.

In a perfect world they would have resolved pouring cement at 90 degree angles before they attempted to actually build something. It was probably invented by a man who failed to think past the cement.

I would never delay production of this innovative idea because of the trivial issue of imperfect right angle corners. This thing could drastically reduce housing costs. I doubt any buyers will care much that their corners are rounded. I even kinda like it. It’ll make furniture interesting.

Good point. Unfortunately, imperfect angles could result in leaks which would get in the wood and cause black mold to grow undetected for weeks, months or even years. Then you would want to sue the maker for faulty equipment knowing in advance it was flawed. Perhaps a person could purchase one through Amazon eventually so when it produces a flawed product, a person can just send it back with a full refund.

Honestly, I see no reason at all why a curved wall would be more prone to leaks than a right-angled wall using the same basic construction methods.

Wow! Did a printer make that? Nice smooth lines. Looks like my closet.

Yes, that picture came from Dan’s video. It was made by a printer.

I bet it leaks. Let’s look at it again in 5 years. It may not even be standing.

What a bizarre conclusion. It looks like it has a concrete slab roof and given the ventilation at the top of the walls, it looks like it’s in a hot area. I think they even mentioned Mexico in the video. There’s likely very little rain there. Come back in 50 years or 100 and I’ll bet it’s still not leaking.

I see no reason why a curved wall or rounded corner would cause a leak. I have a rounded corner on one of my walls made by using bullnose cornerbead.

I like the idea of it. Especially if it reduces costs like Reg said.

Mexico is pretty diverse. I’m guessing this is flat and dry. Impressive.

When I lived in lowell there was a yurt down the street and it looked like it was surviving hard weather quite well. It looked like something out of hansel and gretel. I had a friend who’s family lived in a yurt style house. Kind of odd house. It had zero hallways. There was privacy as there were bedroom off the main living area in a hexagon shaped style. I felt like I was in a gingerbread house. I wonder if my friend thought it was weird. It was probably tough to sell.

I find this tiny little Tokyo apartment more charming than most mega-million dollar mansions.

I’ve seen bigger RV’s.

Some Canadian did this for $65k.

nice share!
65k canadian dollars and that includes buying the land! very interesting 3 year project
simple but still beautiful and comfortable house and the surroundings look amazing! most important: he has internet access! lol
guess it would be quite lonely but i could see myself living like that, basically my only worry would be if you or your family get sick… no quick way from or to that area

hmm ok why are the solar panels on the ground when you have the roof of your house in that way? that annoys me lol

ah that site has more clips with similar different living… an island or a boat might be a much better option;)

He lives with his woman. Quarantine has shown me that I don’t get lonely at all if I have my woman here.

interesting, iam not much of a social party animal anymore but only spending time with 1 person for months would drive me (and most of all the other person!) crazy lol
