I read that the U.N. reported a 19% increase. Those are real numbers.
What really worries me is the notion about the call for international (Western) help. The West is that dumb.
The opium belongs to the C with an I and an A. so we have to help them. They own it, we fund it, the dumb use it. We are that captured.
They talked about international aid. They never mentioned the west. I doubt very much they would look to the west for help. Their memories aren’t that short.

Really. Germany still paid 371 million Euros since the Taliban rules. And we certainly paid even more now, as that source was from 2023. And if Germany as a country pays, then certainly also the EU does, with again the Germans as highest payer for their budget.
If you don’t mean aid to the Taliban, then yes, the west continues to send aid to Afghanistan, generally through aid organizations and NGOs. Are you against sending them food, Gunda?
As the Taliban decide where the aid goes to, it‘s aid for the Taliban rather for the people. Yes, I oppose any aid to them as this just helps the Taliban.
These two Brits are real hero’s. Not just for helping the weakest, but also for not letting others pay for their doing.

Inevitable. And correct. As contemptible as they are, the Taliban are the government of Afghanistan. To not recognize that simple and obvious fact is delusional.
