THE Right!

omg that was hilarious.

How politicians spend American tax dollars is none of your business nor is it up for debate. But then, neither is the border, social security, healthcare, abortion or anything else Democrats consider threatening to their party.

So you are cool with politicians soending however much they want from taxpayers? That would surprise me.

I was talking about him blowing his own money and his donors’ money. My taxpayer money isn’t going to his campaign.

Absolutely not. They should have a budget and not go 4 Trillion over that in pork we don’t need.

Yes, I know. He can blow his own money any way he pleases. I was just taking a swipe at the Democratic Party. :grimacing:

The worst politicians seem to be from Texas. Florida, South Carolina and Kentucky. I would say in that order.

I would say $1,000,000 is WAY too low. At least 10,000,000. He has 24. If he worked 40 years, he’d make a million by making 25 000 a year.

I have a simple solution. Transfer military money to social security. They are both socialism programs. If one is going to fail, divert money to it. This “solution” by DeSantis doesn’t solve the problem of what will happen in 8 years. It might be too late. My guess is it will make 30 and 40 somethings want to work even less than they do now.

Social security is not a socialist program. It’s a fund we pay into for retirement. A socialist program would be to pay everyone for nothing or to apply a credit rating to personal lifestyle. How would you like to be rated according to your appearance, hygiene, volunteer work, unsocial behavior. What if there is another pandemic and lockdown. Your score would be lowered for failure to pay your debt.

I couldn’t read the article and I’m not willing to pay even one dollar to read their one-sided opinion but I can assure you that if the Rapture takes place as the Bible indicates, before the antichrist is revealed, there may not be even 8 weeks left.

Wrong.

Social security, medicare, fema, the miltary, disability, housing, and food assistance are a few.

I’m surprised you replied since you didn’t answer my question about the weather in Norway. I thought you had me on ignore again lol.

If I am, it’s only half wrong because I can see how wrong you are here too.

I will, in fairness, agree with you that Medicare is a fake medical program that we are suppose to believe is a better deal than private insurance, when in fact, it really isn’t. It is cheaper than any other insurance but they don’t payout during so many procedures. You’re limited in what it treats. That’s not fair, is it? It isn’t to me. If you pay the fee they set, you should get the treatment you paid for.
Same goes for FEMA. They spent our taxes on trailers that sat on saturated ground until mold covered the walls. They only helped when Trump was in office, that I can recall, although I’m sure you can pull a Google article on the charitable work we paid for from somewhere.

I disagree about the military. The U.S. citizens have a right to be protected from both planned and unplanned attacks. Having said that, I don’t believe we should have to protect Mexico or Canada just because Biden entered us into a North American treaty, although I’m pretty sure all three are bound together as one country with no choice about it.
Same for food. Nobody should go hungry and I mean that with everything in me. I consider that a Capitalist program. Having said that, with Putins rejection to release the grain, I can see the price of bread going higher in various places around the world.
As far as housing goes, there are a lot of empty military bases all around on property that the government already owns. Parts of it could be utilized for housing immigrants instead of paying them to purchase a nice phone and rent a room in a sleezy hotel, paid for with our taxes.

Michele, you don’t seem to understand what socialism is. It is any program in which taxes on the general population are used to benefit people who have not personally paid for their share of the program. As long as welfare recipients and non-tax-payers benefit from FEMA, Medicare and the Military, those are socialist programs.

Are you saying every taxpayer funded program is now and will be in the future a socialist program?

Pretty much, yes. That is the definition of socialism. The program is owned, administered, regulated and funded by the community and not by a private for-profit venture.

Then what is social scoring?

Social scoring or social credit is a system used to assess where a person is on the governments scale of virtue. In China, that means not being a homosexual or drug user, not valuing freedom of speech or religion, and just generally buying into whatever the government says. In the US, it means experimenting with occasional homosexuality and drug use and supporting those things as sacred rights, valuing freedom of speech and religion as long as it accords with the government’s policies on everything, and generally buying into everything the government says.

What I mean is would you classify it as a communist program?

Perhaps the driver will be awarded her carbon credits.

This guy is in 3rd in some polls and close to second. Trump is ahead by 40% in some of them.

What day do you think Trump will get arrested this week. Looks like he’ll get a federal arrest and a state arrest later on, both for Georgia.

I don’t think the US is ready for an Indian leader. The thing that’s bothering me about Trump is he’s starting to lead in the head-to-head polls vs. Biden. This could go badly.
