The Environment

Toronto tests water quality every 6 hours. What was the point of the post about USA environmental quality?

So you acknowledge that you lie to yourself. That’s a start.

I doubt that. I don’t believe in fairy tales.

If the funds going to clean the water is not being used for that purpose, he should try to get rid of it. Do you object to that?

That certainly may be true but I seriously doubt it is. Apparently Winnipeg has poor air quality. Even Vancouver has poor air quality according to this quick Google. https://www.accuweather.com/en/ca/vancouver/v6c/air-quality-index/53286
So in fairness, Canada’s higher elevation does not protect them from poor air quality.

I’ve just been reflecting on our food quality as opposed to that of other countries and it’s quite different. That led me to thinking about how we are poisoning the soil with the chemicals in our food, the way we dispose of chemical waste compared to other countries and of course that led to thoughts about air quality everywhere and just how good it really is, you know, if we are being honest about it.

It is surprising to see a MAGA supporter care about the environment. Even if you don’t support spending money to improve it.

I don’t think the act is costing money federally, other than the feds making sure municipalities are testing the water. Unless you want the entire US to look like Flint, Michigan, it’s probably worth keeping. My guess is Trump does not drink water, so he might be interested in getting rid of it, which would help places that are cheap and don’t care about their people.

What, oh just what is your opinion on fluoride and fluoridated tap and drinking water mr.coffee? Especially for the kids.

I have no idea what you’re on about, Michele, but it’s nice you’re back here. I have travelled quite a bit and have never experienced air as good as Canada’s. Vancouver’s is especially good, but all Canadian cities have extremely rigorous regulations about emitting poisons.

As of the latest available data, both Winnipeg and Vancouver are experiencing good air quality.

Winnipeg:

According to Environment Canada’s Air Quality Health Index (AQHI), Winnipeg’s current and forecasted AQHI values are 2, indicating a low health risk. This suggests that the air quality is ideal for outdoor activities.

Vancouver:

The Air Quality Health Index for Vancouver also indicates a low health risk, with a current AQHI value of 2. This means that the air quality is ideal for outdoor activities.
