I have heard this many times. Who cares? Who cares if there is a special locking mechanism in Pit Bulls jaws that makes them unable to release? This is a textbook strawman argument. Create a strawman and shoot it down, then declare victory. With or without that mechanism, these dogs are violent and dangerous, they harm more humans than all other breeds of dog combined, and they should not be allowed in cities. Nobody cares if the locking thing is a myth or not.
even more humans harm other humans⌠lets ban humans from cities! lol
Let me ask you a straight question, Nico. Should we allow Siberians Tigers as pets in our cities? Simple question. Try not to deflect or obfuscate.
lol@comparing a siberian tiger to a dog
siberian tigers already are in several zoos (many privately owned) in cities around the world
no, obvously i would prefer for all animals to live freely in their natural habitat, but what if scenarios serve no purpose, we can only deal with reality
reality is people created and have many breeds of pets⌠which makes us responsible and we should focus on educating and training the owners and then almost no human would ever get hurt by a pet
Years ago you wouldâve given me a straight answer. You are becoming less of a man as you age, Nico.
lol you can skip the whole story and just read ânoâ, reg
Thinki is correct. Itâs stupid to compare a pet like a dog with a wild animal, even if you would have used the African Wild Dog. And thinki is also Right in that way more humans harm and kill other humans than dogs. I just wish, that it would be mandatory to take a certain amount of lessons about keeping and caring for that specific pet every time someone plans to get one. Regardless which pet. And wild animals like snakes, spiders, tigers etc., shouldnât be allowed to keep, regardless if itâs dangerous/poisonous.
A straight answer. Ty.
I swear to God, if I ever would catch someone while poisoning or harming any pet, I will prevent him/her from doing it again.
-
You donât believe in God.
-
You show all kinds of moral outrage when someone talks about harming pit bulls, but when a pit bull kills a baby (which happens almost every week), you have no outrage. You and Nico spew sick platitudes about how itâs the owners fault. No emotion at all, aside from whatever you feel for the pit bull that just killed the baby.
-
You say these stupid things while eating meat, thereby contributing to the deaths of thousands of totally innocent animals. What a hypocrite.
-
You are both morally bankrupt and donât even realize it. You abandon the human race for dogs. I wish you could join them and live as one of the dogs these pit bulls kill.
-
I am no threat to anyone. I would not harm a pit bull or a human. That said, if you and Nico got mauled to death by pit bulls tonight, I would raise a glass to those totally innocent pit bulls and perhaps get a cake made with âIt was the owners faultâ written on it.
-
Iâd bet anything your next reply will use the words âmoralâ, âsickâ, âhypocriteâ and âoutrageâ and perhaps the phrase âmorally bankruptâ. You never were very original.
Oh, and you will of course accuse me of not being original in your next post, too. lol.
If I would believe in God, I would commit a sin if I would swear. ![]()
And to the rest of your silly post: Good, if you wonât harm or kill a dog then. In that case you wonât have to live in fear. Simply donât utter such nonsense.
But thatâs highlight was your morale preaching, lol. I wonder you donât wear wings already. You better fasten your seatbelt, lol.
Please go volunteer at a pit bull shelter, Gunda. Nico, too. I have my plan all ready.

Lighten up Reggie and start becoming honest for a change. Your pit bull hatred has zero to do with protecting humans but all with your fear of dogs in general. You not just want to prohibit the keeping of pit bulls but all dogs larger than cats because of your phobie.
Gunda, after all these years, you still donât know me at all. I love dogs and dogs love me. Everywhere I go, if thereâs a dog around, heâs usually going to love me. Cats, too.
In Mosquera, the little village I lived in for 4 years, there were âvillage dogsâ. Not desperate starved street dogs like youâll see in Mexico, but just dogs that the village communally looked after. They were well fed and healthy and if they ever needed a vet visit, the locals would chip in and get it done. Anyway, every single one of those dogs would run up to me when I visited the Parque Principal, which I did almost every night. Theyâd stay with me and take turns being petted. This raised my stature with the Colombians there, who love dogs and trust their instincts. If the dog says that brown gringo is ok, he must be. To this day, I miss those dogs more than almost anything else about Colombia, and I miss Colombia a lot.
I donât own a dog because I travel too much and I live in an apartment, and I donât think those things are fair to a dog. I promised Isa Iâd get a dog when I turn 70, or when I canât travel anymore.
Pit bulls KILL OTHER DOGS. Violently. Viciously. Painfully. They are dangerous animals. I wonder how youâd feel if Gracie had been killed by a pit bull. You are intellectually dishonest and stubborn enough that you might not even admit you are wrong then. But you are.
Now go ahead and use âintellectually dishonestâ in your reply. lol.
Tommy, pictured below, one of the village dogs in Mosquera. I have no idea how he got the gringo name. Tommy loved me and would stay with me for ages in the parque. Of all the dogs in Mosquera, I remember him best.
Edited to add: Itâs easy for you to talk when the import of Pit Bulls is totally banned in Germany.
Such a heart-warming video, think. Itâs a pitty thought. They donât have a very good reputation as family pets. Unfortunately, people who go to the pound for a pet are not usually looking for a pitbull so that sweet dog is probably just going to be put down. Thereâs no part 2 so nobody knows and thatâs why I dislike this type of video. Oh, wellâŚthe end!
of course every kill is 1 too many but seriously every week?! lol i guess that could be true if you have dreams of that happening every week?
do you ever wonder if there is a possibility that you are a bit too emotional to be logical/reasonable about this subject? lol
lol you forgot the owners are always responsible for their petsâŚ
yes pets can be dangerous especially dogs since they love pleasing their owners so they should be treated with care and respect and both owner and pet require training
if not then indeed dogs can be trained by their owners to harm and even kill other creatures⌠but doesnt that make the owners the killers? not the indoctrinated pets that just follow orders? quite similar to soldiers in wars
lol that cake didnt look very appetizing to me but thats a nice innocent non-violent looking doggie!
i wonder, if you found out there is some pitbull blood inside of him, what would happen? would you change your memories and suddenly hate and fear him and think of him as a killer? ![]()
It occurred to me that you probably thought I was offended because you didnât post a part 2. That would not be the case at all. I just wished I had known there was no end to it.
Well I sent that to myself when I meant for that to go to thinki.
No, Nico, if the dog kills someone, it makes the dog the killer. The human may or may not be an accomplice, but the dog is the killer.
Nico, letâs try again for a straight answer: if a pit bull was born in the wild, and grew up never having seen a human, do you think that pit bull would kill other dogs for fun? I do. Cats do. They torture their prey. The only reason they arenât monsters is that they are too weak to harm anything we care about (although they are monsters to mice and small birds and bugs).
So what is it, Nico? Would the pit bull raised in the wild kill other dogs for fun?
well if you want my short and straight answer then it would be no and you can skip the rest that i will type lol
if a pit bull was born and grew up in the wild without having any interaction with humans then to me it would be silly to call them a pit bull, since they would be more like a wild dog/hyena or wolfâŚ
while wolves do not kill for fun/sport, but only for food/survival/protection, a wild dog or hyena will definitely torture and kill for what you consider to be âfunâ
i look at it more as âinstinctual training behaviourâ and cannot see it as some emotional and/or monstrous action since i dont believe animals can be held morally responsible for their behaviour
would these pit bulls raised in the wild be more like wolves or wild dogs?
that likely depends on upbringing by their parents, surroundings, interactions with other creatures and whatever happens to them while growing up
your turn, reg⌠tell me your feelings on tommy the pitbull ![]()
