Yes, if they win, for 5 minutes. Maybe 10. I remember when Canada lost the hockey gold in Turin (2006 I think) and we all suddenly took pride in winning at curling for the same 5 or 10 minutes.

I agree about curling. Olympic hockey is somehow very important to me, though, which I admit is stupid but it is what it is. And hockey is Canadaâs game.

I probably shouldnât look forward to Beijing. Canadaâs time may be over. From 2002 to 2014, there were 8 hockey gold medals available and Canada won 7 of them. I doubt Team Canada will ever achieve that level of domination again.

You donât understand Canada and hockey. On almost everything else, Canadians agree with that mentality. On hockey, we become like Brasileiro soccer fans and accept nothing short of gold.

I need to correct. The nonbinary person is #5 in Nicoâs photo above, so apparently they were at least on the field. They definitely did not score in the shootout, however.
EDIT: I just deleted my post. It was ungracious to the Swedes. I am happy Canada won. I question the legitimacy of #5 but I have lost this fight. I need to get over it.

Itâs difficult for me to blame this transgender person for participating in the Olympic sports. I do blame the Olympic committee for allowing men to compete against women under the guise of conversion that does not change muscle structure.
