Worst Olympics I can remember, except perhaps Tokyo which was destroyed by Covid. But yes, if Nico can find some joy in it, I don’t begrudge him.

no, but i also rank these (probably canadian invented) “sports” the same as breakdancing… i think its silly and unfair to have a jury decide to give points for artistry, might as well let the contenders use a pole and perform without clothes to entertain the audience

original pure sports like the cycling, rowing and sailing you mentioned get multiple events
no doubt simone biles is a great athlete but the events she won medals in cannot be judged fairly and therefor should not be in the olympics at all
Simone Biles is amazing. I’d say Leon Marchand was the athlete of the games. SML was the track athlete of the games. Clearly the most dominant. You couldn’t see 2nd place on the screen in either of her runs.

This is actually a good question. I don’t care about it, but I don’t care about most Olympic sports, and as stupid as I think most of them are (see the Dutch golds), I also don’t want a one-day Olympics with a few track and swimming events and 20 athletes.

There are probably not enough nations playing pickleball. We probably need 8 and there are probably only 2. If we can get some Europeans playing it in USA, maybe they can represent their country.
It would be nice if USA could dominate it like China does diving. There is potential for 5 gold medals if they made it an event.
Paddleball definitely should be a sport in it. It’s popular and intense.
I was surprised that rock climbing was an event, but I suppose that is legit.
