Ok, at least Canada won the womenās hockey gold, the first gold that really matters so far. Weāll lose the menās gold which is the one we wanted most, but we love the womenās team, too, here.

Iām glad that Canada won as Americans do not care at all about Olympic hockey. It would be a shame if a team with no fans won. I donāt know anyone that knew the usa team made the finals.

Thatās funny. Almost everyone here followed it.
That said, almost nobody here could tell you any of the last 10 football, baseball or basketball champions. Actually they may know that Toronto won once a few years ago because it made big news then but only the people in Toronto really care. Oh well, the Dutch follow speed skating and the Norse follow cross country skiing. Canada caring about hockey is no sillier.
Heartbreaking. She can do better. They need to leave her alone to sort through her failures in peace. I mean, I hope they donāt treat her like they treated ZhuYi. Shameful conduct.
Best possible outcome, although I admit I was kinda cheering for her just as a screw-you to the IOC. This way thereās no controversy about the medals.
If she was a sore loser she could remind them that the gold medal is 92.5% silver, making the value about $750.00. In 1912, it had a value of about $20,000.00.
Itās all about those numbers, right.
Beverly Zhu didnāt make the US Olympic Team so she gave up her US citizenship, gained Chinese citizenship, changed her name to Zhu Yi, and competed for China. She is now learning that Chinese culture is unforgiving. Itās why they are growing so fast and will soon dominate the world, but itās also why itās a horrible place to live. And Beverly Zhu will now learn that bad choices can last a lifetime, as she spends the rest of her life in a country that hates her, where she barely even speaks the language.
Such is life.
So far Iāve learned that Norway is very good at skiing, the dutch are excellent at skating and Canada is very good at skating too.
England beat USA in curling. Iāve also learned that England is horrible at winter Olympics. I forgot they were even there. What a pathetic performance.
Norway, Austria and the Netherlands have more golds combined than the USA, Russia and China combined.
Great Britain has zero medals of any kind. They are guaranteed to get at least one. I expect them to suck at skiing. I guess they suck at them all.
I do like that usa has more golds than russia and china lol.
I think my favourite sport is disliking the British. It is a subtle sport, with many twists and turns, and many opportunities to score.

Itās amazing how knowledgeable you are about Olympic competitors and yet youāve never performed yourself.
Perhaps their guaranteed medal will be in sucking at everything. Perhaps the US government will pay for it with your tax dollars so you can grovel at Chinese feet.
Itās a good thing they suck at nothing or they would be pathetic to watch.
You and Dan need to watch it, together. Thereās just something striking about the way men view and reduce competitors when hanging out together that you just canāt accomplish quite the same way alone.
