Surrey never had any male hookers on the street, or at least none that I ever saw.

The only other female prostitute I can remember later seeing working at a normal job was a pretty brunette that I walked by a few times on City Parkway. She asked me if I needed anything (prostitute-speak for asking if I wanted to pay her to have sex). I said no and commented that she looked too clean cut to be doing this. She smiled and said something like, “I look pretty good for a crackhead, don’t I?” and we both laughed.

A few years later, I saw her working as a cashier in Home Depot. She still looked great. I didn’t say anything about our previous encounter and she didn’t appear to recognize me, which is a bit unusual as most people remember me. Perhaps she didn’t want to revisit that period of her life again, or perhaps that time was all just a drug-fueled fog to her. Or perhaps I just wasn’t memorable to her. I will never know.

EDIT: I remember one other prostitute who is pertinent, at least somewhat, to this conversation. I didn’t see this one work a real job later, but she must have since prostitution is no longer a good way to make a living here.

I was going to the data center when I saw her on a street corner. Like the other prostitute I mentioned above, she looked really clean cut and nice. I was having huge trouble finding a cleaner for the data center. I said to her, “I have a data center down the street. I’ll give you $15/hr for 8 hours to clean it. We have all the supplies you will need. If you do a good job, this could become a regular gig for you. You can come with me right now if you agree.”

This was almost 20 years ago and $15/hr was good money back then. She looked at me as though I had insulted her very badly and, after a bit of a pause, she said icily, “I’m a hooker, not a fucking cleaning lady.”

I will never forget her.

lol
shame about the male hooker, but nice stories!

Yesterday was the 30th anniversary of the OKC bombing. Still the deadliest domestic terror attack in the :united_states:.

Timothy McVeigh was 26 years old. He looked horrible for his age.

They killed him 6 years after the bombing.

I remember that time clearly. He was a white supremacist who followed the teachings of an old fool named William Pierce who wrote a book called The Turner Diaries about a white race revolution in the USA. Everyone expected him to make a long speech on his deathbed about white supremacy but he said nothing and died quietly.

They should have killed him on day one instead of feeding him for 6 years.

I tried to read that book. Made it to chapter 4. What I did read was interesting but obviously I didn’t read enough to understand what happening and I certainly didn’t read anything about a race revolution. From what I did read, Pierce was a really great writer. His words were engaging, which, imo, is most important at the very beginning of a book.

Outrageous! Trump needs to make this a priority and fix it.

0 dollars gas because tarrifs will pay for it all… just wait 2 more weeks!

I see…like a procrastinator, putting off what he should have done two weeks ago? I never noticed he was doing that but I fact checked it.

Have you fact check the two weeks?

look at the clip and find out

No, I meant did you fact check to see if whatever he was saying would happen in two weeks did or didn’t happen?

Grocery prices were going to come down on day one.

Manufacturing jobs would return immediately to the USA.

The Ukraine war would be ended in 3 days.

That’s just off the top of my head.

Some manufacturing jobs did return and some stayed the same or lost jobs.

Eggs went down immediately.

I admit, he didn’t get that right but he s getting close to an end.
