Sure. That applies to both of them imho. He could’ve said “excuse me ma’am, I am unable to move because your seat is reclined” rather than punch the seat, and since he didn’t, she could’ve said “please stop punching my seat” rather than call the stewardess and ask for him to be criminally charged.
That’s what sane people would do. It’s what I would do and I’m not totally sane.

I agree with Will. He’s an asshole but no assault. He’s punching the seat. Not her head. That is different to me. I know I’m in the minority there. That’s ok. If I’m in a crowded yoga class and I touch my neighbor’s mat, that’s ok. If I touch there clothes I will move my hand, head or foot but it is not a big deal. If my skin touches their skin, I will flinch like I have tourette’s because I know that would shock the other person. So I’m looking it like that. He didn’t touch her. No assault.
I always end up in the middle seat and claim both arm rests immediately. He has an aisle seat which is more than I usually get.
I think we all agree with that. He’s an asshole but no assault. Where we differ is that I think she’s at least equally at fault whereas I believe the others here think he’s more at fault.
She should have gotten a window seat.
5’6 and under get the windows and can lean back. 5’7 and above get the aisles. Suckers get the middle.
I prefer the aisle since I can’t sleep. I’d rather sit upright for 4 hours than lean back.

excellent, ditto and starting this summer everyone here in the netherlands 18+ will be a donor automatically

ah interesting they made it a bit difficult still: you first get a request and then a reminder and then you will be a donor unless the family disagrees…
i wish there was an option with yes but not to those that choose not to be a donor lol
