I don’t enjoy the game, true. I often watch a few games every four years when the WC comes around. I also watched Canada qualify for this cup, although I expect we will lose all our games.
I will watch for Qatar 2022, at least in the news, as I expect it will be a freak show and I hope it fails horribly so the weird Muslim oil-producing GCC states never get another large championship.

I am not hoping for a mass murder, but I am hoping for a dismal failure. Qatar did not deserve to win the cup and it does not deserve to host it. It would be particularly fitting if the Germans win and play their homosexual pornography anthem in Doha.

Patriotism is pretty difficult. It is way too divided to “share” what it should be here.
I guess it is quite vague/broad definition. I’d say it is pretty low, though. Those strongly opinionated here seem angry/pessimistic. Regardless of what they want, they don’t seem to have a positive view of the USA currently.
I’d say this country gets a 5/10. I’d give it a 6.3/10, but it is lowered by the history of killing foreigners. Although, that has not been bad lately.
I would expect that number to go down to 4/10, due to poor work ethic. Work ethic might go up if things get worse, though.
I give the USA 7 out of 10. Being the world’s superpower is not easy. I think your nation has done better at it than most others would have done, and better than China is going to do over the next 100 years when they’ll likely hold the dominant position. I doubt India or Russia will ever hold that position, but they would do even worse than China imo.
Regarding the US, I honestly feel gangster rap culture and Trumpism should be banned. I don’t care about free speech.
I loved “Enders Game”. The main actor, Asa Butterfield, was very charismatic at that young age and fit perfectly for the strategic genius he had to play. It"s just sad, that his other talent, his kindness and empathy, in a real war rather would be a disadvantage. The way a war is won doesn’t matter at all in my opinion. No winner ever was morally superior. If they were, then they couldn’t have won. Anyway, I still enjoy his acting and think about buying the book to finally find out why he got manipulated. A pity they didn’t do a sequel. He is way too old now for one and I doubt I would like anyone else in that role.
Right now, Star Trek is shown again on German free tv and despite I watched it already about 10 times, I still enjoy it. I like that crew the most. A pity they made no more movies with them.
I don’t “daydream” often anymore. My yearning for seeing other countries and diving into other cultures is pretty much gone. Have seen a lot and most times the experiences weren’t worth the money. I am glad and satisfied were I have the luck to live and just want to have a stable and nice home/environment with good friends and and staying healthy. But I totally love that movie. Ben Stiller is excellent in it. Plus, this movie has one of the best soundtracks and catched beautiful moments.
Not travelling anymore is hardly an indication for waiting to die. Travelling never had an high priority on my wish list. Children, family, animals and a nice home are all I ever wanted. There are so many other things to do than travelling. Way more productive and useful as well.
The acting and cinematography was actually very good in both. The writing in Barbie was not very good. There was nothing wrong with oppenheimer. It was just slow and 3 hours long. There was a lot of talking in oppenheimer.
