Are you pro-life, Reg?
Very much so, Michele. I am also pro-Choice.
How can you be both?
It was clear in the meme, Michele. To me, pro-Life means I support feeding children, housing them, educating them, giving them the best health care and child care, and making sure their parents make a living wage. That is life.
I find the republican position indefensible: force a woman to give birth, then totally abandon both mother and child as soon as that birth is accomplished, giving them no way to support themselves, let the kid go hungry and live in the worst ghettos, force his single-mother to work leaving the kid unsupervised and free to mix with criminals, with absolutely no hope of a higher education, then act outraged and blame democrats when the kid grows up to be a criminal.
Just typing that made me rage inside. Your country really should start putting down republicans for the greater good.
That’s not really life. That’s keeping them alive. Something every mother is wired to do.
Oh, I see. You reject consequences for a persons action.
I reject forcing a woman to give birth, and then abandoning both mother and child.
I support putting down republicans for the greater good, which I admit isn’t very pro-Life.
uh huh you are pro-life unless people dont live their life the way you want lol
So you support punishing the child for the actions of the parents?
What are you on about, Michele? I said I am against abandoning the child.
You’re against abandoning it but not against murdering it?
I am against abandoning a child. Before it is born, I don’t consider it a child, and I have no issue stopping it from reaching childhood.
What is it if not a child?
An embryo, obviously.
Obviously! So you’re against aborting a child after the 8th week? That’s when an embryo becomes a growing fetus. Im not trying to back you into a contradicting corner. Im just trying to understand your view and so far the only thing I understand is that you are against abandoning a child and for murdering it but I’m hardheaded at times so you may have to draw me a picture in .
I honestly don’t know where to draw the line for abortion. It is somewhere before birth but I don’t know exactly where. To me, that’s a detail. We need to pick a line and allow that.
I am far more concerned about how we treat these children after they are born.
You already have.
I’ve already done that. You’re the one that doesn’t seem to have the will to draw the line.
How would you suggest we treat them? Send them into a busy highway with razors and knives?
Republicans don’t even care enough to do that. They just abandon them and hope for the best. Then blame Democrats when it doesn’t go well.
Why are you blaming Republicans whom you say blames Democrats? Doing nothing is as bad as aborting a child and that’s tragic considering it’s doesn’t have to be that way. You have a liberal government. How do you expect a conservative government to do anything?
Trump proposed a change to the child care policy but Democrats rejected it as too costly, non-inclusive for fathers and would benefit the rich because the bottom 47% doesn’t earn enough to pay federal taxes. That last point was bizarre since I thought everyone paid federal taxes.
