I just got great news from my Hessian friend I met over 30 years ago in the Dom. Rep, and her husband. Presumed I get 3 weeks off from work in the spring time (which I don’t doubt) and can rent a small camper bus (which I will find out tomorrow), I am going on my first ever camping vacation. We are heading to the German Baltic Sea in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern. I always wanted to go to the Baltic Sea and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. I prefer the Baltic Sea over the North Sea.
To have long sandy beach walks with my dogs is a dream and on my bucket list, which I hopefully can redeem in April/May 2026.

Your current vacation looks like paradise and the camping vacation looks like Hell, but I’m glad you’re able to chase your dreams.
That Spa resort is paradise and hell at once. Hell, because of the immense variations of food. Really incredible. It causes me both a bad conscience to have this luxury, if it’s also only for 4 days/nights a year, as well as sending all my medical values into a negative direction. I can’t help but ignore the healthy food available for the unhealthy ones. I am weak regarding food. Thats my Achilles heel. I have no other, but that’s unfortunately bad enough. Unfortunately you can’t book only breakfast or at least half pension, though. I tried, but they don’t offer it.
I like the feeling of freedom to be able to travel to whenever I want. To be rather independent and to get into close contact with other people if I want to, and not if I don’t want too. Way easier on a campingsite than in a hotel.
A small Pössl camper it is (6,36 meter long).
My friend and her husband are now checking suitable camping sites directly at the Baltic Sea with a long sandy beach, as I wished. This might be the first and only camping vacation for me. It’s too expensive if you have to rent a camper and if you have to finance it all alone. But I want to experience it once in my life, if the destination and the people to share this experience with are nice enough.

Incredible. All camping sites nearby the sea are full already or only allow one dog per camper. Since Covid, the camping community took a surge in Germany.
We luckily found a camping site lying directly behind a nice enough looking longer sandy shore and booked for the first two weeks in May 2026.
It’s funny how fast one adjusts to new cars. Had to rent for only an hour a similar car like that Pössl one to move an item too big for my car. I love that higher place of the seat, because of the better view onto the road. Easy to drive as well. Not as fast, but that’s not as important to me than to feel comfortable and safe. When switching back into the low seat of my tiny Suzuki Swift, I really missed that other higher seat and thus the better overview.
There was no bad weather last night, but I heard a one-time metal-like loud noise outside in the evening, while already in bed. Soon after it, I got aware that Luigi waited at the barrier I put up to grant my cats a free-dog safe zone. He reacts highly sensitive to noises. So I let him in. Asked Jamie as well, to prevent she might feel excluded, but she kept staying in her bed on the couch. She didn’t even look up, lol. Luigi stayed the whole night beside me and seemed to enjoy the closeness. After our todays morning stroll, he snugged up beside me on my couch as well, while I am having my morning coffee.

Last evening, it was a hunters rifle far away, which I heard and which in that very second also drove Luigi into my bedroom. Of course I let him. He, lurking from under the sheet is a rare moment, as usually he prefers to hide completely below it and cuddling close to me to feel secure. At around midnight, I let both dogs out for their business as usual (thank God for my garden) and he first went to his own bed right after. But not for long, lol.

Ganymedes, lol. I wonder how he managed to climb on this pillow, having only 3 legs and without rolling it down. It’s very shaky.

Negative clips are renewed every morning, not just animal clips but people also. It’s like Bloopers on loop every time I open my phone, although it’s still entertaining, to me. Mixed in all that, I find some really impressive clips, like this:
Got my first gastrointestinal endoscopy. The weekly long preparation isn’t nice, to be honest, but you appreciate healthy food so much more afterwards, lol.
