That was sweet. I loved the dog that was waiting at the window.

Sometimes I am glad to not know everything. What a kind soul. Both of them. The dog seemed to be relieved to be able to let his fear finally go.

Ganymedes enjoys our common couch time on my lunch break, while my dogs can’t wait to get in again from having a lunch snack in the garden and despite the great weather outside. I have couch pets.

I don’t know where else to post. For him and his family, life is definitely more than good. So this thread pretty fits.

I love this guy. Everything on and about him. If I could bake me a man, he would be him, lol.

But now I need to start my day. Final personal meetings for this week. If also probably unpaid work on the weekend. I am behind in my project. My back and my right knee are fine again. So, life is good indeed.

Lol. I can so relate to that saviour complex issue. Regarding humans this always ended up in disappointments, hurt and often also in financial losses. Sometimes even huge ones. Since I switched this strength (to me it’s not a weakness) onto animals, I never had to face emotional damages. Financial expenses, yes, also big ones, but they don’t feel like losses at all.

Had a very nice evening walk with my dogs. The mist was slowly aproaching towards us. In the beginning, the thin, low hovering mist only reached to the river Regen. At the end of our walk, that white blanket covered nearly the whole meadow we crossed, incl. the hay balls at the begin of our walk. Jamie sometimes even vanished under that white blanket, despite she was only a few meters behind me.

This work week will be horror because of the immense work load and 4 days of testing at the office. Stress and stress, lol. At least the first day of this new week I can work from home. But all days will be easily over 10 hours long. Thankfully, my back will have one week rest afterwards and I will treat him nicely at my wellness stay in the Bayerwaldhotel, Bad Kötzting. They seem to have a new outdoor bar. My friend is already excited. More than me, as I haven’t had the time yet to switch my focus much from work, except while having my morning coffee and oat meal mainly with fruits - and walnuts from my parents own walnut tree. Life is good.

I am so glad, this week is over. A bit of work is still to do, but tomorrow my vacation starts.

This video rdminded me on my first ever gallop in my life. And jump lol. I was maybe 12 years old and couldn’t ride at all. I already told that story, but I get still excited when being reminded. I still feel the shock and Angst, but decided to stay calm and let the reins fall to grab the horses hair with both hands instead. The owner of Rex was walking with us, leading him by his reins, while I was sitting on his back (no saddle). But somehow Rex managed to get free and he instantly started running towards his stable (luckily a bit upwards instead of downwards) and I expected to fall down when he was jumping over a tiny brook. But I didn’t, despite riding bareback. He was kind enough not to make a quick movement sideways, cause that would have definitely finished my first gallop and jumping experience, lol. Rex was a great black Welsh stallion, who taught me to not give up easily. And that even a fearful situation can make an unexpected turn to become a wonderful experience.

I finished packing. When pulling the bag from above a closet, my view fell onto a transparent box with photo albums in it. I thought to search finally for that old picture of Rex and me, I once announced. But that album, in which I soliley put my horses pictures into, wasn’t in that box. No clue where it ended up since the last move.

But I found this also old album which contains vacation pictures with my dead, best friend Uli and me. We both still went to school back then (different schools, as she was one year older than me and we went to different schools. We met in the riding stable). Only the last two ones were from my trip to New Zealand, where I met Alan (who is already dead too), who made the pics.

Time flies indeed.

The steam of “my” pool is already calling me. But first, breakfast.

Only here, I start with an North American type of breakfast. A mix of pancakes, while I prefer the thinner bavarian/austrian pancake (which is barely visible as covered by two american pancakes) with maple sirup and cherry-/raspberry sauce.

In America, we call that flat thing a crépe. You just need a little powdered sugar.

nice, relax and enjoy!

That’s a beautiful place, but why would you go swimming at this time of year? It’s freezing out.

Gross.

What are you ragged off about today, Reg? Powdered sugar is not gross.

Powdered sugar is gross on crêpes.

That building belongs to the boring old bits, and it gets renovated at the moment. The modern spa landscape is barely visible, because it ducks into the landscape right before the forest and nearly vanishes. You only can see their roofs covered with short growing plants (see first picture).

But to answer your question:. The hot water pool is best, when the temperatures outside are cold. In winter it’s a dream!

My dream house. Made of wood, huge windows. Right beside the horse stables and corall. It’s the house the owner built for his parents:
