Plus my upholstery is pretty new. Aiyiyi. I was driving fast when I could and cursing when I couldn’t. I hate traffic.

Another great thing about retirement. You don’t have a morning or evening rush hour. I go out in the middle of the day when it’s more bearable but traffic here is still heavy (unless you’re going to disney).

If you’re going to DisneyWorld they make your way easy. Fine roads, many lanes. However when you exit DisneyWorld the cops are lined up to give you tickets and take what little money you have left, lol.

While my truck was in the shop I had the windows retinted with ceramic tint. Supposedly blocks 95% of UV. Hope so it cost an arm and a leg which luckily, because I’m a smoker, I had grown a couple of extras.

Life is not good but it is a lot better for me than most right now. Both my wife and I are getting paid.
I think I will refinance. I have 28 years left on a 330000 dollar loan with 4.5%. I’ve heard rates are below 1%. My credit is around 800, but I’m sure they won’t give me that rate on a 20 or 25 year loan. Maybe below 3 would be nice.
I guess cars are becoming backlogged and are dirt cheap. You will still probably get fucked at the dealer, since the salesman wont have made any money for months. I don’t really want a new car. Was going to wait 2 years but I’ll have a decision in may with my inspection do then. Maybe if I go on my birthday the salesman will give me a nice deal. Haha. Jk. I’ll have to check the prices. I’d probably want something good on gas since they should skyrocket in a year or so.
I do wonder if carmax is better for trade ins than the dealer. I’m thinking yes.

Refinancing to take advantage of low rates is smart. I sure wouldn’t buy a car right now.
I’m sick of my lawnmower. New plug, gas, governor settings, oil, cleaned the air filter. Maybe it’s just water but it’s not very green despite the new E3 eco plug.
I’m currently in the market for push reel mower with a catch bag. Sun Joe has a good 20 inch model for a little over a hundred and I think a universal sharpening kit will work for it. There are different ways to sharpen reel mowers which involve turning the blades in reverse with the flat blade adjustment but it’s different with some manufacturers to gear the reel to do so. Also most just use a brushed on liquid sandpaper although I have seen an abrasive strip used.
Probably won’t be an issue until several mows later.
Lawnmower overwork is ridiculous for me. You’d expect to see a hot rod with no hood and an engine with intakes stacked 3 feet high for the expenditure of effort. I hate the idea of healthy carb intake like this. Plus the noise fuel maintenance etc hassle with storage.

Also clearly taking a break on the car. The house is more important to refinance on. I’m guessing your credit score takes a hit initially when you refi, so better to do that first.
I’m actually torn about the car. I obviously won’t be buying one in Colombia but when I’m back in Canada, there could be some desperate sellers out there. I might just be a vulture. Not sure.
