Again, the official numbers are lower as many if not most migrants already have a German passport. It‘s no comfort at all that crime is generally higher in poor and socially-disadvantaged areas, where more foreigners live.
Our immigration system and all institutions involved with it incl. integration is highly overstrained. We don‘t have the personal nor the budget to take in more migrants and to integrate them. We lack housing, even for Germans with or without migrant background. We have a problem with Clan criminality. We waste millions on surveillance on Islamic fundamentalists. It won‘t get better but worse without a significant reduce of immigration and the remigration of people who were rejected or proved not wanting to integrate.

My hospital might unionize. I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. I am in somewhat of a gray area. I’m salary but not management. I would not be part of the union. It’s early stages. They are still getting signatures to have a vote.
I am torn there, too. I support treating people like humans, but I benefit from Amazon slave labour every day.

The CDU once was right, then shifted more and more left under Kohl. Under Merkel it became a left party, for some even as left as the SPD, which also moved more left. That‘s why the AfD filled the void and now gets many voters who formerly voted SPD and even The Greens. Some CDU (and in Bavaria, CSU) voters changed as well, but I believe they are now going back again due to Merz, wo shifted the parties economical as well as immigration direction back again to center-right.
