no, if you cared then it wouldnt be true to you
No, it would be true to me if I had a say about enriching weapons manufacturing for war.
Your mother was religious, Gunda. Extremism takes many forms. Yours is one.
My Mom identifies as a Christian, yes. But she never ever backed up any of her opinions or decisions with her God. That’s a huge difference to some religious zealot, who bases his/her opinion solely with some God. That’s completely irrational and dangerous in it’s consequences for a society. It’s plain stupid not to hate but tolerate such idiocy. If that’s extremist in your opinion, I take that as a compliment.
congrats; then (according to the bible) she is not a christian because you have to put god before everything and everyone in order to be christian
see following bible verses:
- Matthew 6:33 (KJV): “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”.
- Exodus 20:3 (NIV): “You shall have no other gods before me”.
- Matthew 22:37-38 (NIV): “Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment”.
- Proverbs 3:6 (TLB): “In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success”.
- Luke 14:26: Suggests that loyalty to God must surpass loyalty to family or even one’s own life.
- Matthew 10:37-39: Highlights that loving family more than Jesus makes one unworthy of Him
edit: before anyone complains; yes same goes for islam, judaism, zoroastrianism, sikhism, hinduism, bahai etc etc
What did she do that makes you think she didn’t put God before everything?
I’m going to guess she doesn’t think homosexuals should be put to death.
I do wonder why those that wrote the Bible had a problem or cared if someone was homosexual, but rape was fine.
I wonder why those who read the Bible have a problem with other people when they think they are not walking according to biblical writings but their own rejection of God is fine.
this line:
why do you think its a problem? i think its more a recognition of hypocrisy
(and also most people have issues when they are told “do as we say but not as we do”)
So that means the Spirit of God does not dwell in her and her soul perishes. What an awful truth to be exposed to.
Because if you’re looking inward, you wouldn’t judge harshly outward.
Then confess your hypocracy
Christians don’t say that.
You know what I have a problem with? People who judge Christian’s as hypocrites but then refer to Christ as a flying pink elephant. They don’t want to hear about it and they don’t want you to have faith in such things so they call you a hypocrite because you don’t fit the Christian mold they have drawn in their mind.
i think the opposite is true: looking inward should make a human care more about other human beings
not judging people that care more about imaginary creatures than other humans and which even harm others or support others doing so in the name of that imaginary creature?! i believe that can and should be described as insane or even inhumane and should always be called out
Hypocrisy (often misspelled hypocracy) is the act of pretending to have beliefs, virtues, or moral standards that one does not actually possess, or advocating for behaviors that one does not practice. It involves a gap between stated values and actual behavior, often characterized by double standards.
i do not see any of that coming from me
lol i do not refer to your christ as a flying pink elephant, i refer to any god as an invisible pink flying elephant (the invisible part is important to match the imaginary creatures that religious people worship)
i gladly hear about everyones thoughts and believes and encourage anyone to share those and have faith in whatever makes them happy and in return i will share my thoughts and call things as i see them
i think its more about what was drawn in your bible and how some people can easily choose to ignore or twist that to suit their needs which would make other people call those people a hypocrite
Looking inward hasn’t worked for you yet
No, I doubt you can, o’ peaceful war maker.
You just did.
That can’t possibly be true for a hypocrite.
I’m sure you do. Anything that opens a door to criticism is always welcome here.
It must be nice to live above judgment in this world.
I think it’s what was drawn by Gunda that made you call her a hypocrite.
Thank you for correcting my poor grammar. Which part of the hypocrisy did Gunda’s mother fall into. Was it her beliefs or her virtue or her morals? Can you give an example of which one or if necessary, all three? I ask because you seem to possess the authority to judge such things and because in my own hypocrisy, I like hearing about the worst of the worst.
I live in Canada our Constitution allows freedom of religion as does American constitution. Well aware 32% of Canadians are atheist a record and that my Bible predicted few would be saved at the End Time. Watched Christian Broadcast Network and 700 Club even Tribal Trails last week.
So, it’s you now who defines who is a real Christian, lol?
Most western people got too woke and thus too stupid to see the truth. Notvthat I want them to be wolves again, but they bacame now the sheep. From one extreme to the other. If I remember correctly, it was some Ayatollah who came up with the word Islamophob.
When Absalom raped his sister after a time he was hunted down and killed. The Bible of course condemns homosexuality in both the OT and NT. Sex outside marriage including rape was forbidden. In some cases foreign women were taken back to Israel and raped for 30 days. If they then did not agree to be a wife then they were allowed to go back home.
For the record, I was saying that I find it extremist to hate religion.
