Tunisia, now. Jordan, Bahrain, Colombia, Chile and many others have withdrawn their ambassadors to Israel. Bolivia cut off diplomatic relations with Israel altogether. Colombia’s president wrote on X, “It’s called genocide; they’re doing it to remove the Palestinian people from Gaza and take it over. The head of the state committing this genocide is a criminal against humanity.” They’re going to win the war easily, but I really think this could backfire on Israel long term.

Accurate assessment. I really think the Bible tells you so.
Herzl knew that, for the Jews to gain Israel, many of them would have to be massacred so that the world’s sympathy would turn to them. Perhaps Hamas learned that lesson from Israel. Perhaps they did this attack knowing full well it would result in tens off thousands dead, and knowing that it would turn the world’s sympathies away from Israel. None of this defends the Israeli massacre of innocents. It just means that perhaps Hamas is smarter than we’re giving them credit for.

That may be true but I can’t say. You’re speaking of someone from contemporaneous history. I don’t know him so you would need to prove his existence before you can convince me that he even had a purpose.
Perhaps they did but again, I can’t say. I don’t know what goes on in the mind of those merciless killers but there is a lot of good they could learn from Israel. To me, Hamas is just another branch of the Muslim Brotherhood and death to Israel and America is all they have been trained up for.

Pardon my ignorance. I’m still trying to wrap my mind around the money trail, which brings me to this. 
If Israel has to move this Ben Gurion Canal route through northern Gaza to develop gas fields, I could almost understand why there is an uprising against Israel but the article says Israel, Egypt and the PNA resumed negotiations, so it seems like the Arab world doesn’t want Israel to stop bombing northern Gaza but I don’t see the Saudi’s holding Egypt accountable for their part in the destruction of Gaza and I don’t pretend to understand why. I mean, I know no one holds themselves accountable but shouldn’t the world be appalled at this joint scheme with Israel and yet they aren’t. Does the rest of the world not know Egypt and the PNA are benefitting from Israel’s destruction of Gaza? It’s almost like they are all different sides to the same coin and the only way for any of them to get what they want is to destroy northern Gaza and allow the consequences to fall solely upon Israel. Tell me where where my confusion is.
I have this visual of Israel, Egypt and this PNO whoever that is making backdoor deals to create war for the gas fields in exchange for northern Gaza.
I mean after I read these things it made me think that’s what they are doing but it’s almost too unbelievable to believe and maybe I’m imagining

Michele, natural gas was found in Gaza in 2000, but the Israelis refused to allow the Gazans to exploit it in any way. They truly do subjugate and oppress the Palestinian people. Anyway, if you look at the map below, you can see that Israel doesn’t need to make a deal with Egypt or anyone else. They just need to invade Gaza and kick out the Gazans (and lie about how it’s not about land), then exploit the fields for Israel. The map makes clear that shipping the gas through Egypt would be totally pointless. They need to get the gas to Europe, not Africa. Israel has plenty of sea access on its own.
My blood can still boil even as I grow older it seems.

The US under Biden does not like the humanitarian catastrophe and total reckless disregard for human life that is currently happening in Gaza. I believe that is the motivation, but obviously I don’t really know.

Michele, this is like talking to a wall. Can you read a map? The Ben Gurion canal (which doesn’t exist yet and probably will never exist) will obviously serve no purpose at all getting gas from Gaza to Europe. The Ben Gurion canal doesn’t even go into Gaza, and if it did, it would only serve to get gas to Africa or India or that general area.
YOU DO NOT NEED ANY CANAL OF ANY KIND OR ANY NAME TO GET GAS FROM GAZA TO EUROPE. The gas fields are a short hop from the sea, and the ships just go directly to Europe through the Med. NO CANALS INVOLVED. LOOK AT THE DAMN MAP.

Its original plan was north of Gaza but clearly the gas field is in the way and since you can’t move it, the only option for Israel is to move the shipping lane.
Why do you think this is an issue about getting gas from Gaza to Europe? The US is taking care of European gas needs right now. Where that gas goes makes me no difference right now.
