So…I’ve been trying to understand what you’re talking about, which I still don’t. You don’t really have to school me here. I can go back to Wiki but……Do you believe the “Neturei Kartas are the true Jews and if so, how do you know for sure because there are many others. I guess what I’m asking is, what sets them apart from the rest? Are they they only group that believes the state of Israel should not exist until messiah comes? I ask because it seems like there are many different groups all having the same basic view but with some minor differences.

Michele, many and perhaps most Orthodox Jews are not Zionists. They usually refuse to take part in the military (which is a huge issue in Israel as they have a draft) and many, like Neturei Karta, oppose the creation of a Jewish state prior to the coming of their messiah.

I don’t think I see any special value in being a Jew or a Christian or a Muslim or a Buddhist or a Hindu or a Sikh, so your statement may be correct technically. That said, there are many Jews and Jewish groups that I have a huge amount of respect for. I also donate to Jewish Voices for Peace, for instance. I would also note that, as people, I would rather spend time with Jews than almost any other group in the world.
