Israel

Google Theodor Herzl.

Hamas finally decided to hand Gaza over to Israel for good. Mashallah.

Will you vote AfD today, Gunda?

Hezbollah is claiming responsibility.

Probably, despite I am not sure I will even go. Currently there is no political party in Germany I am content with their solutions for the four most important issues to me: abuse of asylum/illegal immigration, the Russian war in Ukrainia as well as the economy and rising of living costs. It‘s the choice between pest and cholera. None of them fulfill even the most minimalistic attitudes, values and goals of mine.

Interesting as that was, I failed to discover when Israel stole the Promised Land.

They seem to be very proud of themselves for their inhumane accomplishments. You can see and hear it in the way they raise their guns and shout.

Then you didn’t look very hard.

The Zionist groups of Irgun and Lehi reverted to their 1937–1939 strategy of indiscriminate attacks by placing bombs and throwing grenades into crowded places such as bus stops, shopping centres and markets.

By the end of March 1948 thirty villages were depopulated of their Palestinian Arab population.[13]: 82 Approximately 100,000 Palestinian Arabs had fled to Arab parts of Palestine, such as Gaza, Beersheba, Haifa, Nazareth, Nablus, Jaffa and Bethlehem.

Palestinian Arabs were evicted and their houses destroyed on 19–20 February 1948.[19]: 130 In attacks that were not authorised in advance, several communities were expelled by the Haganah and several others were chased away by the Irgun.[19]: 125

According to Ilan Pappé, the Zionists organised a campaign of threats,[13]: 55 consisting of the distribution of threatening leaflets, “violent reconnaissance” and, after the arrival of mortars, the shelling of Arab villages and neighborhoods.[13]: 73 Pappé also wrote that the Haganah shifted its policy from retaliation to offensive initiatives.[13]: 60

During the “long seminar”, a meeting of Ben-Gurion with his chief advisors in January 1948, the main point was that it was desirable to “transfer” as many Arabs as possible out of Jewish territory, and the discussion focussed mainly on the implementation.[13]: 63 The experience gained in a number of attacks in February 1948, notably those on Qisarya and Sa’sa’, was used in the development of a plan detailing how enemy population centers should be handled.[13]: 82 According to Pappé, plan Dalet was the master plan for the expulsion of the Palestinians.[13].: 82 However, according to Gelber, Plan Dalet instructions were: In case of resistance, the population of conquered villages was to be expelled outside the borders of the Jewish state.

On 9 April, the Deir Yassin massacre and the rumours that followed it spread fear among the Palestinians.[19]: 264 Next, the Haganah defeated local militia in Tiberias. On 21–22 April in Haifa, after the Haganah waged a day-and-a-half battle including psychological warfare, the Jewish National Committee was unable to offer the Palestinian council assurance that an unconditional surrender would proceed without incident. Finally, Irgun under Menachim Begin fired mortars on the infrastructure in Jaffa. Combined with the fear inspired by Deir Yassin, each of these military actions resulted in panicked Palestinian evacuations.[46][47][48]

Throughout the Haganah made effective use of Arabic language broadcasts and loudspeaker vans. Haganah Radio announced that “the day of judgement had arrived” and called on inhabitants to “kick out the foreign criminals” and to “move away from every house and street, from every neighbourhood occupied by foreign criminals”. The Haganah broadcasts called on the populace to “evacuate the women, the children and the old immediately, and send them to a safe haven”. Jewish tactics in the battle were designed to stun and quickly overpower opposition; demoralisation was a primary aim. It was deemed just as important to the outcome as the physical destruction of the Arab units. The mortar barrages and the psychological warfare broadcasts and announcements, and the tactics employed by the infantry companies, advancing from house to house, were all geared to this goal. The orders of Carmeli’s 22nd Battalion were “to kill every [adult male] Arab encountered” and to set alight with fire-bombs “all objectives that can be set alight. I am sending you posters in Arabic; disperse on route.”[19]: 191, 192

Undoubtedly, as was understood by IDF intelligence, the most important single factor in the exodus of April–June was Jewish attack. This is demonstrated clearly by the fact that each exodus occurred during or in the immediate wake of military assault. No town was abandoned by the bulk of its population before the Haganah/IZL assault.

After the fall of Haifa the villages on the slopes of Mount Carmel had been harassing the Jewish traffic on the main road to Haifa. A decision was made on 9 May 1948 to expel or subdue the villages of Kafr Saba, al-Tira, Qaqun, Qalansuwa and Tantura.[56] On 11 May 1948 Ben-Gurion convened the “Consultancy”; the outcome of the meeting is confirmed in a letter to commanders of the Haganah Brigades telling them that the Arab legion’s offensive should not distract their troops from the principal tasks: “the cleansing of Palestine remained the prime objective of Plan Dalet.”[57]

AfD is totally anti-Ukraine and pro-Russia.

if only you could go back in time, you could vote for the national socialist german workers party

I really doubt they would’ve supported Ukraine. lol.

There was no point in looking either. The Ottoman Empire had control over Palestine. Britain gave that land to Israel after their defeat so I don’t know how you can say Israel stole anything.

Weird. This message went to Nico.

Also, Reg, your view is always only contemporaneous. You never look historically past that. I do because I am driven by a desire to know the whole truth. History goes back 6000 years and while I may not know exactly when Israel uhhh “stole” the land (obviously you don’t know either), I know the answer is out there and I know it goes deeper than that of the last couple hundred years.

It looks like Israel is going to burn Gaza to the ground, which very well may draw surrounding countries into the fight. The U.S. has already deployed destroyer ships to the area.

That is among the silliest things you’ve ever typed here. The British didn’t own that land to give it. If I give you the Brooklyn Bridge, do you own it? Israel STOLE that land.

Now that said, Canada stole its land. The USA stole its land. Every major nation that I can think of conquered someone for their land. Israel is no different. But they stole the land, violently deported the people who were there, and have reneged on every promise to compensate the Palestinians for their homes and property. The Palestinians have every right to hate the Jews, and they have every right to resist them.

Are you saying the British didn’t defeat the Ottoman Empire?

Israel doesn’t owe Palestine anything.

Michele, you are betraying a woeful ignorance of the history of that region rivaled only by Gunda. The land in question was occupied by nomadic Palestinians who were living peacefully when Zionist Jews invaded violently, attacked their villages, bombed them, killed them in cold blood, and deported the survivors. I don’t give a flying fornication if the British laid claim to that land, any more than the British cared when the Argentines laid claim to the Falkland Islands. By your insane “logic”, it would be fine if the US bombed and killed your Native Americans today because you conquered the land 200 years ago.

This is because you are a religious fanatic who believes that your sky fairy gave the land to Jews and you support the Jewish jihad against Palestinians.

EDIT:

The position of the western word is “Hamas bad, wicked, horrible”. I tend to agree with that BUT I also note that Israel has been oppressing the Palestinians for over 80 years now and maybe something should be done there, too. The Russians and Chinese are being far more reasonable than the US or the rest of the western world.

Russia’s U.N. ambassador, Vassily Nebenzia, told The Associated Press the Americans tried to say during the meeting that Russia isn’t condemning the attacks, but “that’s untrue.”

“It was in my comments,” he said. “We condemn all the attacks on civilians.”

Nebenzia said Russia’s message is: “It’s important to stop the fighting immediately, to go to a cease-fire and to meaningful negotiations, which were stalled for decades.”

Chinese Ambassador Zhang Jun voiced a similar position earlier, as he headed into the meeting. He said Beijing condemns all attacks on civilians, though he did not mention Hamas.

“What’s really important is to prevent the further escalation of the situation and further casualties of civilians,” Zhang said. “What’s also important is really to come back to the two-state solution.”

The only woeful ignorance I see here is yours for rejecting Gunda’s logic.

Those nomadic Palestinians were under control of the Ottoman Empire. Why are you dismissing that?

Being agnostic doesn’t elevate your own fanatical view of their defiled land. If you helps you cope, God not only gave the land to Israel, he took it from Palestine.

I am dismissing it because it is entirely irrelevant. Governments do not have the right to kill and destroy the lives of the people under their control.

You’re such a good jihadi, Michele.

It has everything to do with it. You just don’t want to acknowledge that Great Britain took it from them and not Palestine.

Thank you. I wish you were a better historian.

This is a lie. A blatant lie. A stupid lie. A disgusting lie. Britain had no troops on the ground bombing and murdering Palestinians. Zionist Jews were on the ground bombing and murdering Palestinians. Britain has a bloody, violent and indefensible history, but the people who stole the land from the Palestinians were ZIONIST JEWS.

I lay no claims to being a great historian. Thankfully, I have benefited from the many great historians who have written enough on this topic to have left me less blind than you are.
