Interesting New Tech

That was a very good video, Reg. I’m still giggling, a little. It certainly has impact.

I can appreciate your views.

Good night.

Time for a new pair of flip flops. I’m going with the same brand that Angie bought for me two years ago. Very comfortable and long lasting.

OK. I give up. All I want is a new tv. Now they’re all smart tvs. I don’t want my tv to talk to my bidet, I just want to watch tv. Can I just plug my cable into a smart tv and use it like always. Does the tv smartness leave me vulnerable to hackers? What a mess.

If you don’t set up the wifi on your Smart TV, it’s just a dumb TV. You can ignore all the smartness. That said, if you do choose to get into it, there’s a lot of stuff there, depending on which Smart TV you get. Channels from all over the world. Live sports. You name it.

I hate TV myself so I don’t watch any of it.

I just want a dumb tv. Now looking at latest lcd screens. Prices have really dropped.

Prices are great on conventional TVs now. Monitors, too. Keep in mind the projector option. I installed a projector on the wall for Erika. It turns the wall across from the bed into a 10’ screen. $400 plus a few hours of work to hide the wires in the wall. We watched the McGregor fight on it and it was pretty spectacular.

The projector is nice and you know I don’t care about wires but I think I will stick with a tv. Looking at a Vizio quantum.

P.S. - Nice job of snaking the wires.

Thanks. It was a pain in the ass. I had to cut the power cord they supplied and add 10’ of wire to it. First time I’ve used heat shrink wire tubing to seal the splices. Worked amazingly well and looks professional, almost like it came from the factory that way.

I get sticking with a normal TV. Much easier and less fussing. It’s also better in daylight than a projector.

Yeah the shrink wrap is the way to go. I always hated that work.

you should connect your tv to your bidet; it would make for an excellent fish tank…

Not with the “fish” I have in mine.

I’m not sure what I’d do with this. I could write the next chess move on a napkin. Put it in the sandwich box and sent it to Will. I’d have to drive it to florida within 3 hours.

Hmmm . . crawls up metal walls. Could crawl through pipes. I think it could actually be useful. Starts at 62K. Not for me. It would have to give blow jobs.

I immediately thought of the military possibilities. Imagine an army setting up a base camp like the US does when it invades a country, and imagine that base camp then being attacked by 100,000 of these each bearing explosives and airborne poisons.

It could come down to automated war in the future although I’m sure there will still be ample opportunity for bloodletting.

I think future wars will be automated devices (robots of one kind or another) killing humans.

Commercially available. It failed the first simple test, but then did better once switching modes. The thing that strikes me is that it doesn’t have to be fast or good. Put a solar cell on its back and release it. If it takes 30 days to reach its target, recharging during the sun of the day and marching at night, an army of these could destroy almost any high tech war camp containing vastly more capable human soldiers. The fact that humans are currently better and more adaptable won’t help us against a million of these. If you could make them much smaller, say the size of a mouse, they would be even more deadly because they’d be almost impossible to detect.

Proton cannon leaked for Iron Man.

What about a mosquito?

Interesting website - Bible Times Today. It’s all end of the world, better get right with god. Between Bible Times Today and Epoch Times I would say these are the Times that try mens souls.
