Interesting New Tech

Ok, this is cool.

Nice.

I don’t need this. For the last year I’ve been waking up naturally about 5 min before my alarm and saying, “Hey Google, cancel alarm”. I don’t think I’d trade that for a billion dollars.

Well, this might change everything.

wouldnt want to play chess against that one!

This is not interesting tech, and it’s only new to me. I just bought a Ryzen 9 computer. Erika wanted a new media PC so I did what I always do, I upgraded one of our main PCs and gave the low-demand task the hand-me-down PC. This Ryzen 9 is the fastest PC I have ever bought and the CPU runs at 45°C, which is far below anything fast from Intel. Amazing.

I just know the brand of the Laptop I recently bought, lol. Low level as I only need it for online banking and taxes. Buying online and watching Netflix I do with my tablet, as long as it works. I asked my techi coworker to suggest me a cheap one which suits these low level tasks and I bought it.

I used to overclock my AMD.and boost factory memory.

I do that, too. I actually buy Chromebooks for laptops as I only use them for travel, and I travel to places where they can be stolen or confiscated (which just means stolen by border guards). Chromebooks have zero data on the device. All of it is stored in the cloud. If someone steals your Chromebook, you lose nothing. I paid $250 CAD each for a pair of Samsungs a year ago. They’re fine. Slow and uninspiring, but fine. The new Ryzen makes my head spin, though.

$5,899. I will get one if the price goes down by $5,000.

I’m pretty sure it will.

I probably don’t need as big of a battery as this. My driveway is 23 feet long.

We had not great weather for 3 weeks. Lots of snow and ice, but 50F the last 2 days.

Reggie says your lying.

I went on a sunset/dusk hike for bats with the sponsored group I go with. We came across lots of insects and even were successful at finding a small scorpion with a UV light showing up glowing green. We didn’t really see any bats in the sky but they were able to show the kids on the tablet what was supposedly picked up by echometer. Interesting plug in for phone or tablet and the app matches the detected echo . Supposedly 7 different species were detected. I got some weird looks like they were using the equipment on me when I jokingly made a dolphin sound.

There is an app for this. Another app lets you identify any plant or flower.
