Germany

Bill, I think it’s obvious that I am vastly better read than you on just about everything, including the holocaust. In fact, I would wager that you haven’t read the very books you’re recommending.

you would lose your wager
what books have you read?

Far too many to list, including the (English translations of the) works of Theodor Herzl, the founder of Zionism. I don’t actually believe you. Anyone who has read that many books could write complete sentences. Most could form complete thoughts other than heckling other people all the time, too.

list one
wait
that wouldn’t be a list
list two
is that too many?

Two? Sure. Othello by Shakespeare and War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells.

Now will you in turn type a paragraph formed with several complete and grammatically correct sentences?

lol@boasting about who looked at the most tree corpses and who can type in “proper” english the best

is this the new metaphor for penis length?

I don’t care at all about the tree corpses. Writing in clear English (or whatever language you’re writing in) has value, however. It doesn’t have to be grammatically correct, but stream of consciousness gibberish is just silly, whether it comes from Trump or Bill. If other people have to guess at what you mean, the fault lies with the writer, not the reader.

For instance, your English, Nico, is not always grammatically correct but it is clearly understandable and follows the basic structure needed to communicate effectively. In my 25 years of reading it, I don’t recall ever complaining that you break the occasional grammatical rule or make a minor error, nor do I care about such things.

they do say that in time you get used to everything…
for you it just takes a bit longer, but in 25 years you will tolerate and even accept their way of communicating as well?

I tolerate it and accept it as the inferior method that it is. Communication has only one core purpose, to convey a thought from one mind to another.

The thoughts may or may not be original. Most thoughts aren’t. The goal can be to discuss, to impress, to heckle, to lie, to insult, to defraud, or a thousand other things. The core purpose is always to convey a thought from one mind to another, however.

Some aspects of this thought-conveyance are left to individual preferences. Whether a communication is creative, beautiful, elegant or insightful remains at the discretion of the listener.

The efficiency and accuracy of the communication is not open to interpretation or preference. Some ideas are conveyed accurately. Some are not. Some are conveyed efficiently. Some are not. Some ideas are conveyed ambiguously. Some are not.

Bill’s (and Trump’s) stream of consciousness gibberish is not conveyed accurately, efficiently or unambiguously.

Do note, I doubt he can improve so I’m not sure what my own purpose is in pointing this out. Petty vindictiveness, perhaps.

i think everything is open to interpretation or preference, you just have to be openminded about it and the best communication is always done with yourself

too many to list
yet you have time for that crap
liar

This is interesting. Looks like Germany is set to have its first non-obese leader in living memory.

well very well
then the defense rests?

It is not often I’m speechless. I am in this case.

nods, very sad and i fear this wont be the last

That is very sad indeed.

Eine neue Kanzler fur Deutschland.

I love this. Nothing could be more appropriate. I totally support German doing this.

dear reggie
are you a little sad?
