Just heard this old but fun song from the time I was a teenager. I love Home Office. But tomorrow I go to work and hand the laptop over to my co-worker for one week.

PS: Mitteregger looks very cute when he was young. Wonder if he still is alive and if he had kids. I love that song.

i know the answers
but i ain’t talking

Another great oldie from my younger days.

those tail-gate-partiers on january 6
they spent all their money on fancy clothes
no money for lunch
trump told them celebrities were in the congress
counting cheese brats
and if you don’t fight like hell
you’re not going to have cheese brats anymore

in fact
if you look at wikipedia you’ll find
"
cheese brats were created in 1933 in collaboration with notoriously neutral swiss cheese celebrities

oompapa oompapa

We are all outlaws in the eyes of America
In order to survive
We steal, cheat, lie, forge, fuck, hide, and deal
We are obscene, lawless, hideous, dangerous, dirty, violent, and young

Another wonderful old song.

The most beautiful and intense version of this wonderful song by Schulz. Soul food pure.

I dislike that band, as their nihilism is against most values I have. But they made one of the best German songs for celebration ever written. Combined with the most fantastic football event I ever was blessed to witness in my lifetime, it‘s just brilliant.

Tage wie diese (Days Like These)

I’ve waited weeks for this day
and I’m dancing on the asphalt with joy
as if it were a rhythm, as if it were a song
that keeps luring me through the streets
on my way to you, to pick you up,
as we had agreed:
at the same time, the same place as last time.

Through the elbowing of the bustling crowd
we’re paving the old familiar way
along the streets to the terraces on the Rhine,
over the bridges, right up to the music
where everything is loud, where everyone is there
to let loose
where the others are waiting to start with us
and get down.

On days like these, you wish it would never end.
On days like these,
we still have all the time in the world.
I wish it would never end.

This is unending, it’s unending for today
We won’t stand idle for an entire night
Come, I’ll carry you through the crowds,
don’t be afraid, I’ll take care of you
We’ll let ourselves drift, then dive under,
and go with the flow.
We’re going in circles,
we won’t come back down, we’re weightless.

On days like these, you wish it would never end.
On days like these,
we still have all the time in the world.
On this night of nights, which promises us so much
we’re experiencing the best, there’s no end in sight.
No end in sight
No end in sight
No end in sight
On days like these, you wish it would never end.
On days like these,
we still have all the time in the world.
On this night of nights, which promises us so much
we’re experiencing the best, no end is in sight.
We’re experiencing the best,
and there’s no end in sight,
no end in sight.

I love this song about a few good souls which crossed his life. English translation from Google.

Gute Seele

Gute Seele, Schwester, Freund,

Erstmal gepiesackt, erstmal verkloppt.

Dicker Junge, Schwester, Freund,

Lieber Bulle, Schwester, Freund,

Ohne Eure helfende Hand
WĂ€r es nie fortgekommen vom steinigen Strand!

Gute Seele, Schwester, Freund,

Good Soul

Good soul, sister, friend,
Have wandered around for a lifetime
With that debt of thanks in me.
The thoughts go to you
And my gaze in memory
Warms my soul, warms my heart!

The fat boy who stood apart
Came across the schoolyard and shook my hand.
It was the fat man who accepted me
When I first came into class.
The one nobody likes to play with
Is a good friend for the first day!
New ones are bullied first
First tormented, first knocked out.
The fat boy has covered me
Received my pricks in silence
Made his back crooked for me -
Every blow that hit him was meant for me.

Fat boy, sister, friend
Been wandering around for a lifetime
With that debt of thanks in me.
The thoughts go to you
And my gaze in memory
Warms my soul, warms my heart!

These nylon shirts at C&A,
Object of desire, now they were lying there.
Pocket money short, the temptation so great
Just touch it once, but I never let go.
I swear I had never stolen
I pulled it under my shirt like a second skin.
Passing the cash register with an innocent look
Of course caught, riot and police.
Two took me to the bully in front of the house
One smoked in front of the car, one questioned me
Then slowly and silently pushed open the bully door,
“Now he has slipped away from me!” -. Go, run, boy, run! "

Dear cop, sister, friend,
Have wandered around for a lifetime
Carry this debt of thanks with me.
The thoughts go to you
And my gaze in memory
Warms my soul, warms my heart!

When I was sick of lovesickness
Wringing tears on the bench in the park
The girl next door sat down with me
Staring at the floor, we were both silent.
Then she took it out of her school bag
Her lunch and offered it to me.
I bit into it and with every piece
A piece of joie de vivre came back to me.
Soon I chatted, laughed with her and
When I got up and left, I was healthy again.
Little did I know that she was unhappy herself
Has long been madly in love - with me!

Neighbor girl, sister, friend,
I’ve been wandering around for a lifetime
With that debt of thanks in me.
The thoughts go to you
And my gaze in memory
Warms my soul, warms my heart!

The teachers who gave me the dictation
“That with ß!” whispered to
The bailiff who accepted my request
Although I came well after the end of work,
The stranger whose letter
I was comforted in the deepest depths,
You made my life rich
You got me through all the cliffs!
Was without your love
My raft of life shattered in the sea,
Without your helping hand
It never got away from the stony beach!

Good soul, sister, friend,
Have wandered around for a lifetime
With that debt of thanks in me.
The thoughts go to you
And my gaze in memory
Warms my soul, warms my heart!

Went down to my family and they played the first 100 songs out from a 1.000 Songs People could vote for (regardless which language). I was happy the most for especially those two summer songs. One from Spider Murphy Gang about spending a hot summer day away from work to enjoy a hot day in the river Isar and having a beer with a friend, and the other from the Austrian Reinhard Fendrich „Strada del Sole“, a funny song about him losing his money, passport as well as his girlfriend to a molto potente Italian. Very funny story telling.:joy: I laughed so much.

Mindless German pop. I like it. Mostly posting so Gunda can post again.

@Reggie: Thanks.

I post the same song but in a different and better version here again. I just need to correct part of my statement I did in the movie forum, though. This song is the hymn for probably every bavarian understanding person who yearns for a vacation on southern strands or who wants to leave the treadmill for good. Guess the North Germans understand only half of the lyrics, lol.
