Do you go to Church, GregCarr?
You left a lot of people out. May I ask why you choose to place the blame solely on them?

The Bible clearly blames the Jews.
Yeah, it blames the Romanâs too. Donât forget about them. They nailed Him to the Cross. What about the citizens? They chanted âcrucify Himâ. What about Pontius Pilate? What about me?
The Bible doesnât âblameâ any of those as far as I can see. It notes their role. It âblamesâ only the Jews.
Paulâs ministry to the Thessalonians is explaining that nothing new is under the sun, their own countrymen suffered the same afflictions and persecutions from evangelism. Speaking of those apostles and preachers who did not please God and were contrary to the truth of the Gospel. Kind of like you, Reg, they didnât have the eyes to see and understand the Progressive Revelation in the Word that foretold of Jesus Christ and the meanings of His coming that the Gentiles might also be saved. There is no blame being expressed here, but rather a warning about moving on from these traditions and false teachings.
You are lying, Ben. Or perhaps just stupid. Probably both.
Paul was speaking to apostles and preachers (and general Christians in Thessalonica), not of them. He was speaking of the Jews who he blamed for killing Jesus, and he said they please not god and are contrary to all men. Your attempt to twist his clear words into something more aligned to your narrative will not change their meaning, which is obvious to anyone who takes the time to read the verses.
1 Thessalonians 2:14-15
For you, brothers and sisters, became imitators of Godâs churches in Judea, which are in Christ Jesus: You suffered from your own people the same things those churches suffered from the Jews who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out. They displease God and are hostile to everyone
Anyone who reads those two verses and says Paul is not blaming Jews for the killing of Jesus is, well, stupid.
Great argument there, Reg, if one values ad hominem fallacies.
Just breaking it down a little for you because its clear youâre missing the big picture here and trying to force your preconceptions into an interpretation that merely demonstrates how much you are missing. But, there is really no reason for me to try to explain something to someone who doesnât have the ability to see the truth, except for my entertainment in watching you try to defend your conclusions.
That wasnât an argument at all, Ben. It was an (accurate) observation. You demonstrate your stupidity here quite often.
My arguments followed that statement. I note you didnât address them. Just as well, as youâre incapable of high-level debate, and I grow bored with low-iq people quite quickly.
That wasnât an argument at all, Ben. It was an (accurate) observation.
Reg, youâre just a fool who loves fallacies and donât even understand the basics of critical thinking skills to recognize the philosophical definition of an argument.
Youâre out of your league here, Reg, and are delusional to think you school me about the interpretations of the Bible.
Youâre out of your league here, Reg
lol. Yes, Iâm out of your league, true.
Any time youâd like to actually respond to my arguments (which are clearly posted above), Iâm ready to engage. ![]()
We all know you wonât, Ben. We all know you canât. Youâre just a pretender who tries so desperately hard to sound wise, using long words clumsily, like a child trying to impress the other children.
Any time youâd like to actually respond to my arguments (which are clearly posted above), Iâm ready to engage.
Ewww!!! I like it. I hope he accepts your challenge.

I doubt he will. He appears to be a low-IQ pretender, and his childish posts high-fiving himself exacerbate that perception. He reminds me of the Asshelmets that way. They always thought they knew things and ran around high-fiving themselves like irritating punks.
I have a feeling Ben even knows that heâs a pretender. He has the air of a blue collar worker who has taken a few workshops and now thinks he can run with the big boys intellectually. My guess is that he works with his hands and not his brain. His clumsy and tortured English suggests that.
The most important thing of all, however, is that heâs so obviously dead wrong. I posted the verse. His interpretation defies all basic logic.

I donât think heâs a pretender. What if heâs not wrong, Reg?
What if heâs not wrong, Reg?
If heâs not wrong, then thisâŚ
the Jews who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out. They displease God and are hostile to everyone
means thisâŚ

Which would mean the English language has no meaning at all. No, Michele, Ben is as silly as I have accused him of being, and yet he is stubborn enough to cling to his obviously childish argument no matter how foolish he looks. He might have Dutch roots.
Well, I assume Jesus - regardless if he existed or if he was a mere human or the son of a God or whatsoever - identified himself as a Jew all his lifetime. That was what he studied and scripture was the basis he criticized the clergy. Therefore what matters that it were Jews who made the verdict and Romans executing it?
Therefore what matters that itâs where Jews who made the verdict and Romans executing it?
It doesnât matter. The book is clear, however, about who it blames.
Yes, but Jesus said He laid down His life for us. How then did the Jews kill Him?
No one takes it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own. I have the authority to lay it down, and I have the authority to take it up again. This command I received from My Father.â - John 10:18 TLV
Which would mean the English language has no meaning at all.
thats not true; the english language is mostly made up from loanwords from other languages so it has a lot of meaning
the lines in the bibles (there are many versions) indeed have not much meaning since they were supposedly originally written down in ancient aramatic, hebrew and greek which all have very different alphabets and a lot less words than current languages, combine that with the fact that these bibles have been written down from hearsay many years after a jesus supposedly lived, add the fact that many texts and stories were altered, many deleted and even several complete books were removed then anyone sane can only come to the conclusion that anything written down in our current bibles is indeed just meaningless words
He might have Dutch roots.
could be, but we all know you have dutch roots, my brother! ![]()
How then did the Jews kill Him?
According to the Bible, Jewish religious leaders conspired to have Jesus arrested, accusing him of blasphemy for claiming to be the Son of God. They brought him before the Roman governor, Pontius Pilate, as they lacked the authority to execute him, and accused him of treason against Rome, claiming he declared himself âKing of the Jews.â Pilate reluctantly sentenced Jesus to crucifixion under Roman law. The execution was carried out by Roman soldiers under orders from Pilate.
Clear?
In case itâs still not clear, I would add that Pontius Pilate later stood before a crowd of Jews and denied blame for the killing of Christ, to which the crowd of Jews chanted, âHis blood be on us and on our children.â If thatâs not an acceptance of blame, I donât know what is.
All of this is in the Bible. I can cite verses if needed.
