They spoke with people who knew the jumpers and got back story on them which was most of the movie. Still, even though you know they are going to do it, you feel something when you see it happen.
Most paused or lingered for a while. A couple were more matter of fact and just got down to business.
We are wired to survive. Even when we finally embrace death, it still goes against everything we’ve spent our lives doing, namely surviving.

Somewhat selfish, yes, but most things we do are selfish. Eating is the most selfish act imaginable, taking another life to survive a bit longer. Suicide is selfish insofar as one rarely does it to benefit others, but it is less selfish than eating.
i guess suicide would become a lot less selfish if you kill and eat all your family and friends first
