it’s time for you to love one another
it’s time for you recognize your brother
it’s time for us to stop killing our mother
it’s time for us to care for each other
Those are lovely words but it also says the Bible is b.s and imho, whoever was singing that song is full of b.s. I can’t even believe anyone would listen to such nonsense but some people are easily influenced in negative ways.
Yes, you all have influenced me in negative ways but I give God the glory through it all because you are flawed and can’t help your shortcomings since you refuse to acknowledge where that comes from and Who protects a person from those negative influences.
what glory? or did you mean that you give the glory of influencing you in a negative way to your god? or the glory of not protecting you from influencing you in a negative way?
Tried to make us hate the one who put us here
Then they took our sacred songs and made them wrong
Then they took away our prayers and gave us theirs
In other words, these native religious nuts are all mad about other religions because they believe in their own silly religion and their stupid great spirit and all their other bs. We’re allowed to criticize Christianity and Islam (and Hinduism and Buddhism and others) but there are a few religions we’re supposed to respect like that of the native Americans and that of the Jews. I believe all religions are stupid, including the ones we’re not allowed to criticize.
The Christians say the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. True, I fear God, not because he exists but because his followers like to kill in his name, and it doesn’t matter if their God is called Jehovah, Allah, Buddha or the Great Spirit.
“I do not know” are the wisest words ever spoken. I do not know how we got here. I do not know why we are here. I do not know what happens when we die.
As far as I’m aware, God does not exist, Michele. It would be foolish to complain to him. It’s easier to say “I fear God” than to say “I fear the violent followers of a spook in the sky who doesn’t exist”.
I also don’t believe in trickle-down economics. My quarrel is actually with the lunatics who fanatically follow their God Reagan and destroy economies based on this absurd belief. It’s easier to say “I don’t believe in trickle-down economics” than it is to say “I fear the actions of right wing nut jobs who follow a disproven economic theory and cause great harm doing so”.
