Yes, when a storm is on the way you can’t raise the prices very much. It’s a law that we needed.

No pics to post yet. We get our fair share of abuse through tonight into the morning. Winds now 28 gusting to 35 as the rain bands come through. They come through fairly quickly with some time in between at this time. It is still south of us a bit. We are due east of cape canaveral which is that pointy thing on the east coast. Will be taking pics tomorrow but power is iffy. We are both calm and ready for what comes. I’ve been through worse than we are likely to get. Will update as things change as long as I can.

I’ve been watching the outer bands. I guess now the question is more about how much water it’s going to dump.
We don’t usually flood but have high water out back sometimes so it is a concern. We have some very old oaks close to the house and I fear the most for my truck (my sweet precious baby).

Personally I’m not getting heavy rain but it will find me. I am less than a mile from the airport OIA. It is shut down of course. Yeah the ground is pretty well saturated which brings its own set of problems. Still our spirits are up. My alcohol intake too.

We lost a 100’ cottonwood last month because the ground was saturated with 10 months of rain. Luckily it fell in the right direction.
