I was out all day. I’m trying to buy a small office in downtown Vancouver. Saw two today. Loved one of them. The other is very stylish but overpriced. Might move on the nice one next week. Not sure. Ran some errands. We met a pleasant gay acquaintance for coffee. He wants to move to Colombia and we go for coffee sometimes. After we had finished our coffee and were talking, some homeless native drug addict pooed on the street about 50 feet from our table. Isa freaked out. I told her over and over that Canada isn’t perfect but she didn’t really believe me. Latinos never do. They all think the streets are lined with gold here. They’re lined with something all right.

If I was a homeless drug addict I would make a point of taking a loud stinking shit right in front of the diners in the fancy restaurant.

So did she. It wasn’t fancy, btw. Just an ordinary little bistro in the gay area of town. I took this picture there a couple of weeks ago. You can see the little pastries in the window. The bill for three people was $25.

Most offices here are leased but I’m actually trying to buy one. It’s not big. Just an office condo in a downtown tower. I just think it would be good for my retirement planning to have a bit more real estate and commercial tenants are easy to evict (unlike residential tenants).
