As you said, I didn’t talk about her/him in particular. I also don’t know if she/he is a biological woman or man, as I didn’t look it up. Because, in the best sense, I don’t care. Therefore I personally don’t know if she/he is a fake.
You didn’t she where she exposed her taped up breast? It’s a she. Her name is Héloïse Letissier.
he identifies as a transman called rahim claude redcar that refuses to take hormones or get operated
I wish her all the best.
lol not sure about him, he might not like your best and call you gunther in reply, but i can appreciate it and wish you all the best too ![]()
Du verwechselst Aepfel mit Birnen, Nico. I personally don’t mind to call her/him/it, whatever an individual wishes. But that fun ends at that moment, that person wants the rights which comes with that biological gender. Not becsuse I find female toillets etc. nicer than the male ones, but because out of safety reasons. And that’s all I will say to that matter regarding her.
lol nein ich vergleiche ein apfel mit eine orange!
safety reasons! not sure what you are so (in my opinion illogically) afraid of lol but i highly doubt that you calling him a he will give him the right to break into your bathroom and place a bomb there or something?
She is very tortured, and clearly wishes she was a man, but she knows she is a woman and can never be a real man. Her lyrics make that clear.
interesting: to me the opposite is clear; yes the song is about his identity struggle but to me these lyrics describe his reaction to how this possible lover perceives him (as “another woman”) and not who they really are and what they could be (his boyfriend)
ah nice, ai explains it better:
In the context of “Full of Life” and the artist’s personal journey, it is more accurate to say that Redcar (formerly known as Christine and the Queens) identifies as a man and the song reflects the pain of not being recognized as such by others.
While earlier in his career he described his gender as a “vibe” or “fluid,” he has since clarified his identity and updated his pronouns.
Understanding the Lyrics
The song doesn’t express a simple “wish” to be someone else while believing he is a woman; rather, it highlights the mismatch between his internal reality and external perception:
- “Forget that I am just another woman”: This line addresses the societal or partner-level gaze that incorrectly categorizes him based on his physical appearance.
- “You’ll never let me be your boyfriend”: This is widely interpreted as a “heartbreaking commentary” on the difficulty of finding love as a trans person. It suggests he is the boyfriend, but the other person refuses to acknowledge that role or identity.
- “I wish I was another person”: This captures the exhaustion of dealing with gender dysphoria and the “tumultuous” process of trying to “tear down the system” of strict gender labels.
Redcar’s Identity Evolution
- Official Transition: In 2022, Redcar shared that he has been “a man for a year now” in his private life and relationships.
- Pronouns: He officially uses he/him pronouns.
- Past vs. Present: While his debut album (2014) featured lyrics like “I’m a man now” as a form of performance or “taking a man’s place,” his recent work, including Full of Life, is considered a “solidification” of his actual identity rather than just a stage character.
In short, the song is less about “wishing” to be a man and more about the struggle of being a man in a world that still insists on seeing him as “just another woman”.
This is just obvious nonsense. “I wish I was another person” has nothing to do with labels. She didn’t say, “I wish I was perceived as another person” or “I wish people would use different labels to describe me.” She said she wished she WAS another person. Someone different from the person she is.
lol possible but not that obvious nonsense…
it makes sense to me that “i wish i was another person” can easily refer to wishing he was someone that can deal with the abuse better; a more confident, less fragile man than he is now
then again, only he would know, or maybe not even he ![]()
I actually wanted to finally post the song by Christine and the Queen, I have heard on Bayern 2 a few days ago, lol. But then I detected this. New song by McCartney. Christine has to wait once more.
lol good choice, i have heard this a couple times now and it sounds nicer and nicer each time
yes his aged voice is less pleasant to my ears now but its a sweet little catchy melody with nice lyrics
Potty mouth has a pretty voice.
Yeah, that little but catchy melody grows on me with each time I listen to it as well. And his weak voice fits perfectly to the lyrics. Love it.
Never heard this song before. Wonderful lyrics and a nice little melody. Creates a beautiful mood.
I am thankful for where I was born and the great gift I got, for having had great parents, who let me grow in great trust and freedom.
Didn’t know this beautiful, enchanting but very sad song was for or rather about Ringo Stars first wife, Maureen Cox.
Great song and video.
Why this song wasn’t a hit, is beyond me. It’s perfect. Not a note I would want to change. Nor the lyrics. And the video matches perfect to the song. An artistic masterpiece and one of my all time favourite songs.
probably because some people expect more from a song than the sound of bashing trashcans and listening to someone getting their testicles squeezed…
